positivity for @brightsword. it’s exciting to finally see faramir represented (at least visibly to me) in the rp comm -- even more so when taking into account how effortlessly you’ve fallen into his strides. you’ve picked up a spirit that is so earnestly endearing from source material & beyond & somehow extend his layers of charm & thoughtfulness. it took only clicking onto your blog the first time to deduce what an amazing writer for the character you would be, & i’m genuinely thrilled to see where you take him. thank you for brushing the dust off his very treasured mantle. <3

“ you do enough , brother — ” there is no bitterness on his tongue , for the words he speaks are meant with earnest. where should he be , without the love of his brother ? a flower , wilted , without the warmth of the sun. their father , for all his nobility and renown , has not the draw of his firstborn son – nor the care for anything beyond what concerns boromir. there is a darkness grips denethor’s heart , a shadow clouds his eye , and yet – despite it all – faramir loves him still. a dutiful son / loyal to a fault. “ i must learn to accept what i cannot change. in this , i could ask of you no help. ”
His heart fell at Faramir’s words. The tone alone revealed what was weighing so heavily on his mind. How long had Boromir laboured to ease the tension between them as well? With the war and their duties to see to it had become easy to deflect, ignore and refocus on courses that they COULD change.
“Mayhaps you cannot change it. But, endeavour to remember you are not alone in this.”
Boromir lifted a hand to rest upon his brother’s shoulder.

brightsword getting lots of little tattoos of everything - flowers, stars, cats, leaves
brightsword putting his hair up in a short stubby fluffy little ponytail
brightsword sucking at super smash bros but loudly and aggressively challenging everyone to “trY AND BEAT ME I WILL BE INVINCIBLE THIS TIME”
brightsword getting into sitcoms
brightsword getting really into sitcoms and it’s normal for a few weeks to find him in the tv room at 3 am with netflix on, getting sniffly over the surprisingly emotional bits that sitcoms always have
brightsword having a costume for every conceivable star wars character and outfit (including padme’s meadow dress with hair bun things)
brightsword loving froyo and occasionally getting two separate bowls so he can try all the flavors that he wants
brightsword having a cold, trying to be a brave sick person, but he always manages to lose his voice so his facial expressions are even more pathetic than usual. everyone volunteers as nurse
brightsword getting a crush on a really tall person and blushing a lot because he’s thinking about possible piggy-back rides
brightsword making those styrofoam cat houses during the winter. a lot of them. dozens. he keeps a few in the car at all times just in case he sees a needy case
brightsword crying at night because he tries his best to be happy and cheerful and helpful for his friends, who can’t cope nearly as well as he can, but he can only do so much, and it’s impossible not to feel useless and shallow and ineffective sometimes, and he curls up under his covers and muffles his crying with his pillow
nobody being fooled by his “i’ll keep my sadness under wraps” act
brightsword being enfolded by love the next day, love and blankets and hot chocolate and his favorite movies, and he starts crying again (obviously) but it’s good this time and all is right with the world
