APH Russia has always been my favourite character, and I really wanted to make an OC from Russia. The reason why I chose Murmansk was because it was heavily featured and talked about in the second book in the Artemis Fowl series, which I’ve mentioned above! Nonna’s just grown from that. TWELVE ( MEANING BEHIND YOUR URL ): Nonna’s URL means ‘hello, sun’ in Russian, which is a festival that’s held in Murmansk to celebrate the return of the sun after months upon months of darkness. This is all due to the geographical placement of Murmansk, they get a period in the year where the sun never rises and a period in the year where the sun never sets.
No wonder the people out there celebrate the sun coming back, smh.
