Wilderness child, you gotta hold on.

My entry for BriMay 2022. I "recycled" one of the character designs made for BriMay 2021, the "Fairy-Druid-Knight" was probably my favourite one and I really wanted to draw him again 🥰

Knight Brian is the druid of a small (in size and population) tribe of fairies who live in the forest, threatened by animals and the fading energy of magic all around. Other than being a Druid and healing his people, he also offered to fight as a warrior to protect them.

I really wanted to make an illustration with one of those designs and I'm happy with the result 🥰 Had a lot of fun with colors and textures 💜💜💜 I took a gorgeous stock image as a reference for the tree's roots, nature is incredible.

Jay has a habit of petting and playing with both Tim and Brian’s hair. This causes Brian to fall asleep so Jay does it when Brian is having a hard time sleeping. Brian always makes Tim brush his teeth after drinking coffee. He can’t stand the smell of it. Tim has a knack for scaring/startling the other two on accident by just showing up in a room silently.

I know this might be a little random, but I was wondering if you've heard the song "Atlantis" by Seafret? I just listened to it for the first time in a while and it struck me as something you might like :)

i just need to say that i actually cried, jo! i honestly don't know what i expected going in, but this song blew me away!

i watched the video first, focusing on the story and it just sort of really broke my heart, you know?

and then i listened again to the song and paid more attention to the lyrics and well, it really made me tear up.

now all the birds have fled the hurt just leaves me scared losing everything i've ever known it's all become too much maybe i'm not built for love if i knew that i could reach you, i would go

and the chorus is just amazing!

the story and the lyrics and how catchy it is? what a beautiful song. thank you for thinking to me, you were absolutely right. i loved it and i am now adding it to my playlist.
