at this point i would literally accept mother yggdrasil (the yggdrasil tree) getting upset over her timeline being messed with and sending hela (loki’s daughter and ruler of Hel and Niffleheim.) and heimdal to valhalla and saying “the mother of all hath decreed that thou must return to thy warrior companions and fight to protect midgard.” and Pietro being confused as fuck about where the hell he is and how the fuck can this be heaven if his sister isn’t there.

and pietro is just like “yis plz, can we go now.” and he doesn’t even bring up the fact that he’s kinda freaked out by the giant with amber eyes and the otherwise beautiful woman with the half dead face.

heimdall suggests raising her hood as they approach the bifrost just so they don’t cause any undo distress amongst the midgardians.

and suddenly they are in a field not to far from a ranch. and they walk tothe ranch house and knock on the door.

Clint answers the door with nathaniel in his arms and he just stares. he glances at the woman with the hood statigically covering half her face, and the giant with amber eyes, but it’s pietro that he can’t stop staring at.

he barely hears either either person explaining what happened, something about the mother of the galaxy being pissed that pietro died (join the club sister) and ordering his immediate return to the fray.

he invites them to dinner but they decline for they must return to report their success to the mother of all.

clint barely hears them because pitro is standing right in front of him and he looks whole and healthy.

and pietro just kinda stands there nervously twiddling with the hem of his shirt and finally says ‘what didn’t see that coming?”

and clint just smirks, calls out to laura that they are having company for dinner,pulls him into a one armed hug (mindful of the baby), and shoves him up the stairs, telling him to shower and make himself decent before they eat dinner and he calls the avengers to assemble.

that’s the marvel short i want.that’s it.
