Can we talk about how for a brief moment, Rey looked into Ben’s eyes and he was hers. Her whole future was ahead of her and she dreamed of him joining her. Finally Maz’s words about belonging lying ahead made sense and Rey had allowed herself to stop looking in the past and turn to her future. Her eyes were filled with hope. She smiled and he smiled back.
