Not what I expected

So what I thought was , hopefully Rey and Kylo will at least meet in the first half of the movie. Maybe will get a rematch and some hint that Rey is doubting, that she maybe starts to see Kylo as a person, not a monster.

I wished for a force bond, but did not dare truly hope to really see that.

I thought if they meet, we get a fierce and stubborn Rey fighting a mischievous and arrogant Kylo, sparring with words as much as with their lightsabers.

But instead, what we got was tenderness... understanding and belonging, infinitely more beautiful than what I had thought possible.

I could not believe my eyes.

The way she coyly looked up at him from under her blankets, slowly stretching out her hand towards him and he, Ben does not once break eye contact and immediately takes off his glove, gently offering his hand in return.

And the dialogue, it was all so vulnerable and emotional. And Kylo Ren, he was not taunting her, he made no effort to hide how much he needs her and how interested he is.

Rey, who was despite everything open to his explanation. She changed her opinion of him so profoundly and was drawn to him. As soon as she saw the chance she wanted to help him and save him.

I can’t believe that I really got to see this beauty unfold with my own two eyes in a cinema.

Best part: my dad saw their potential and said he whished, they had ended the movie with both of them joining forces and leaving us wondering which side they’d choose.

So even my father is now on board ☺️
