AMUSE ME: I WILL WRITE A FUNNY DRABBLE ABOUT MY CHARACTER TRYING TO CHEER YOURS UP.
She’s never been too good at dealing with sad people, and it’s obviousnow: Akira’s hopped up on one of the kitchen counters while Tzuyu’s trying herhand at baking, because she’s decided that a dessert is precisely the sort ofthing the older girl needs to cheer up. She hasn’t exactly mentioned that she can’tactually bake, but, instead, decided to distract her unnie from her ownclumsiness with a very vivid tale of the one time she’s pasta (pasta that shewas supposed to be boiling) on fire. It’s funny now, kind of, though the memoryis still laced with frustration for her own failure.
Perhaps she should pay more attention to the present, though, because oneminute of distraction is enough to have the bowl she’s been mixing heringredients on slip from her hands and crash against the counter top. It doesn’tbreak – she’s not fond of glassware or porcelain, knowing her own clumsiness –but it sprays floor and egg yolks every which way (mainly splattering themacross the pink surface of the apron she’s thankfully wearing), and bythe end of it, she looks nothing short of a painting in white and gold – and thefact that the yolks mostly kept their shapes, like stubborn dandelions in afield of white only irritates her more.
“Oh, sweet baby Buddha, not again— Okay, okay, let’s not beangry, and… I’ll… uhh… try this again.”
“What about we just – buy it instead…?”
