This is what I mean when I say my favorite color is green...

This is those summers spent rollerskating with friends. It is reading murder mysteries while strawberries float in your water. It is riding in a converstible with its top down, your hair blowing wildly in the breeze. Of seat salt and wildflower perfume. It is notes written beside vintage phones. It is conference calls. This is sitting on the balconies of French cafés. It is planting seedlings into the earth, hoping for growth.

This is what I mean when I say my favorite color is brown...

It is of ancient gods and dying suns. It is bleeding lips from biting tongues and smudges of mascara under your eyes. Of bubble baths illuminated by candle light. Of lush diners on balconies overlooking the sea. This is what it looks like for time to pass by. It is dirty secrets hidden by flowery perfume. It is the sound of a harp at a royal ball. This is drinking fermented fruit in the presence of yourself. It is new beginnings and old flames.

This is what I mean when I say my favorite color is green...

It's the way their bodies move together, leaving no space for you to intervene. It is the shouts of voices carried over rolling waterfalls. It is a darkened cat curled upon your lap as you sip scalding coffee. It is the shape of their eyes smeared into your charcoal; darkened smudges fill the hollows of your cheeks. This is checkmate after time has crumbled your spine. This is the call of the pine trees as they beckon you home.

This is what I mean when I say my favorite color is yellow...

Yellow is the taste of sugar as it dissolves on your tongue. It is the feeling of the sun whispering across your cheek as you sit in a field of flowers. It is the harmony someone sings that you hear as it dances across a breeze. It is of your childhood best friend and giggled secrets. It is the weightlessness felt at the top of a rollercoaster before it plummets. It is the fluttering you get in your chest right before he kisses you, when all your worries disappear and your eyes flutter close. It is promises held on the tips of tongues, too innocent to speak into existence.

This is what I mean when I say my favorite color is blue...

It is inhaling paint fumes while adding a new coat to your wall. It is sitting on the tailgate of an old farm truck and eating shrimp lo mien with chopsticks. Of wearing sundresses and pearls while skipping across bails of hay. It's of collecting conch shells in wicker baskets. Of ceiling fans spinning in beach huts. It's standing on ladders to string lights. It is getting ready for a date, your hands shaking and your breath smelling of mint.

This is what I mean when I say my favorite color is pink...

It is of hesitant kisses the first time you fall in love. Is is of syrup and donuts with sprinkles. Of fuzzy socks and front porch swings. This is how it feels as your cheeks flush, the word 'beautiful' floating on your sugary breath. It is spinning her around on the dance floor at your high school dance. It is fingers pressing into piano keys. It is the smell of an arcade in your hometown. This is how you feel with your head in their lap; the few moments of peace you gather when you are alone but not lonely.

A Concept-

Okay, so imagine this. Two brothers than are youtubers, the girlfriend of one of them, and a medium they just met, go to a haunted house. The owners of the house say that they have a tour guide to help the group throughout the night, only it isn’t a normal tour guide. It is a resident of this very house that died in 1892. 

Throughout the night, the ghost shows them how to interact with the children ghosts that reside within the house and shows them tips and tricks. She even plays a few practical jokes of her own, much to the medium’s amusement. The only things she advises them against in the basement, where something evil lurks (it's the only thing that can weaken her/expose her). 

Eventually, the brothers want to go into the demonic basement, as all ghost hunters want to do. Much to her dismay, the ghost goes with them to protect them, knowing that if she isn’t there to distract the demon the boys could get severely hurt. 

And then she gets does get hurt, and the medium tries to help her cover up the fact that she’s literally DISAPPEARING before their very eyes. The ghost recuperates enough to finish the rest of the night, staying awake and talking to the medium until everyone is asleep. Only after that she disappears to heal herself from the demonic attack, but not without telling the medium where to find a family photo album from the time she was alive. 

In the morning the youtubers wake up to find that the ghost is gone. The medium does as she was told, and they are all hit with the sudden realization that HOLY SHIT WE JUST SPENT THE NIGHT WITH A GHOST!!!

IDK. After that, the medium could conjure up the ghost months later and play a prank on the youtubers before having a nice, if not confusing, reunion. From there, the group begins going on ghost hunting adventures and the brothers take advantage of the ghost’s ability to find paranormal hotspots because honestly, who wouldn’t?
