Prompt: John and Sherlock have a movie night

Thanks bro-tatoes.

"Budge up Sherlock, you're taking all the space on the couch" John nagged and Sherlock reluctantly inched over.

"I don't understand why you want to have one of these things. I'm sure I can deduce what will happen by the end of the film. What exactly are we watching so I can prepare myself?" Sherlock asked.

"John plopped down on the couch with a bowl of popcorn and set a few cans of soda on the table. "We're watching Inception, since I figured it would keep you on your toes" John responded with an impish grin. He so loved to make Sherlock try and figure out the ending of movies that could be under the heading of "psychological thriller".

Sherlock let out a groan. He had put off watching that particular film for months, knowing that he would spend most of his time trying to figure out if they were in a dream or not. He grabbed a handful of popcorn and shoved it in his mouth with a humpf and glanced over at John, who proceeded to press play.

....

"I just don't know how they got from that dream state in the beginning and now they're back where they started!" Sherlock shouted furiously. The movie had ended five minutes ago and Sherlock was already annoyed that he couldn't figure it out. John simply sat back and watched the slow decline of understanding on Sherlock's face. It was surprisingly endearing, for someone who was mad enough to stab the Cluedo board five more times before returning it to it's original position on the wall.

"Sherlock, it's okay to not understand something" John sighed as he stood up and crossed the room to where Sherlock was sulking. John took his hand a drew him up to an embrace.

"Next time I'll let you pick the movie. Deal?" He inquired as he pecked Sherlock's cheek.

Sherlock sighed. Bribery with having free reign of picking a movie was a good option.

"Fine. But I can guarantee you be in the same position. Or maybe a different one," Sherlock raised an eyebrow suggestively.

John laughed.

"Deal."
