I'm gonna throw this useless box of a router across the fucking room in a minute. Am I connected to the internet via dial-up? No? Its broadband! Oh ok. Just a suggestion EE, but erm... ...START FUCKING ACTING LIKE IT, YOU PIECE OF SHIT!
I want my wifi back. Seriously BT its been over a week now I WANT MY WIFI BACK.
Anyone know anything about internet problems? I'm having real trouble getting anything to load properly these days.
Like, Netflix and youtube keep getting stuck on buffer repeatedly, most images won't load on tumblr, and even google takes longer than usual to open.
I've done a few speed tests and ping tests and apparently my speed is (generally) fine, but my ping and jitter is high (whatever that means).
Also, this is happening at all times of day, not just peak hours. I don't really know anything about broadband connections etc. Is there anything I can do to make my internet fit for purpose again?
Another threat, this time to my family - By Airtel Collection Goons
OK, so I just got this another call a little while ago- Started out fine, but somewhere during the call, the guy gets frustrated with my patience and in his frustration, he mutters something like this :
Wait until I get my hands on one of your family members / relatives phones and then you will come running and begging for me to settle this with full amount.
Is that even allowed by law in the collection pretext?
Are the airtel goons trained to threaten customers with anything and everything they can?
Last time, someone was threatening me with disconnection of my mobile phone service if I don't pay up what they are demanding (against my broadband).
I am going to upload the call recordings shortly, but in general it goes something like this
Sir, you told me that cops will call me to shut up, we haven't received any response - Why?
Why don't you finish the matter - Your bill is 11,000, how can we settle it in 2,000?
I explain the details about the plan and about how Airtel is over charging me, but this gentleman is as thick as they come, so he is having a hard time comprehending and eventually, says that he doesn't believe Airtel can do anything like this ever!
When all my attempts to explain to him fall on deaf ears, he comes back with - I can settle this for 7000 -8000 rupees. Just pay it, and get it over with
I tell him that I won't even pay 7 or 8 rupees, because I am not in the wrong - I never asked for the service that you claim you provided - He doesn't believe in this at first
About two minutes in the call, he starts to tell me that I am not going to be able to do anything, and while Airtel is bothering me, I won't get any police help
At about 3 minutes in the call, he mentions that someone abused me on phone this morning very badly, and that he will get that same person to do this again at 8 / 9 pm this evening
I asked him what did the other person say as I had already hung up on him when he started yelling, he feigned ignorance, but promised to call back at 8 / 9 in the evening and hurl his abuses again.
According to this person, I have utilized all of these services that they are billing me for, and therefore, I am liable to pay for them.
At about 3:40 minutes in the call, he does mention that you haven't paid for 8 months, they are going to continue to harass me for another 8 months
At 4 minutes, he makes a clear threat stating if he gets hold of my family's phone numbers,he is going to make such calls that I will be forced to beg him to settle the case, for the full money that they are demanding.
At this point, when I ask him to confirm what he just said, he again starts twitching and then, I make one more attempt in explaining him the situation.
When I tell him that Airtel has never informed me of any changes to my plan, he asks me to come to his office for clarifications.
I inform him that I don't need to, why can't you email / write to me with what you have to say
I explain the billing once again, and make another attempt at explaining him about how / why I disconnected Airtel services.
The gentleman requests me for evidence, but by now, I am tired of sending evidences on email / post to them and so I refuse.
He hangs up!
Overall, I believe he either saw some notes on my earlier conversation, or whatever it might have been, but he abruptly hung up, and hasn't called still.
I have all recordings, anyone wants to hear, feel free to drop me a note.
Airtel Silence | Shameful | Another Email
So, back in September, after my repeated emails to them, I found another email address from one of their representatives who asked me to send an email to this address
[email protected] and I sent them this email - This has yet to be answered, sent on 15th September 2011
My phone was installed in the first week of July, and has been disabled since the 2nd week of July. I have repeatedly called your customer service phones and have been given several assurances that this will be fixed, but I haven't yet heard back nor is my phe working
If you try and dial this phone, it says NOT REACHABLE
What's wrong with your services? Almost 2 months and you can't fix a phone line, inspite of being one of the world's top 5 telecommunications company?
It's utterly shameful, especially since I am wasting my time, effort and energy in trying to get this resolved for over 2 months now and have been given numerous false promises.
