peaking out from behind them, dylan watched the man he's saved running down the alley way and around the corner. relief, dropped his shoulders. hopefully the guy would get home safe. eyes darting toward the other scene in front of him. pulling back behind his fathers, the men hauled themselves up, almost tripping over themselves in fear. scattering like cowards, dylan thought
he hoped there wouldn't be a fight over this. they needed to talk things out, but he didn't want to fight. it just felt like everything was moving on so fast, while he was still trying to stay afloat.
as the scene finally settles down, he becomes very aware of the bystanders, most with their phones out, pointed toward them. dylan tugs his hoodie back over his head, a shiver running down his back. it really was only a short few... weeks? months? ago, dylan had been on live tv, letting the world into how broken down their family had come, and how he had stabbed his father. inching closer to them, his shoulders raised and squeezed in on himself.
this was going to go over great with the kids at school that already seemed to have it out for him for just.. existing as venom's kid, or having long hair, or being friends with bren, or being a little shorter, or a million other things kids could pick on him for. one of them bystanders seemed to be vlogging or live streaming with how animated they were being with their speech.
"can we go...?"
