▶️Brody Brody sweet Brody. Next time Sam try to put you. Bite him.
This takes places pre-Aries and Kayla, in Brody's first time with Sam.
TW: Pet whump, biting, cages.
[Brody's Masterlist]
Brody liked watching TV. He liked the shows, even liked the commercials that made Master Sam roll his eyes. He didn’t much like the sports that Master Sam watched, however. He didn’t know the rules, didn’t understand why they were cheering or booing.
Out of everything, Brody liked the channel that had the animals on it the most. There were so many of them, all looking so different. He couldn’t be sure they were all real, but they said they were.
Master Sam and he laid on the couch after dinner one night, watching the game Brody didn’t understand again when Brody’s mind wandered back to the show he had watched earlier about the wild dogs. They were so funny looking and fast - and dangerous if the show was telling the truth.
But it was a people show so it had to be telling the truth.
It was strange, he thought absently with his head on Master’s lap, strange that they were called ‘dogs.’ Dogs were pets - not pets like Brody but pets still. Why were there two kinds? They acted kinda funny to, playing like they were fighting but they weren’t fighting.
They would even do that kind of fighting with the parents. With the other, older dogs.
Honestly, he wasn’t fully sure why he did it later, laying in his kennel in the garage. He had just been thinking about the dogs and he wasn’t paying attention to Master’s hands and the hand on his head startled him and he just… bit him.
“What the fuck Brody!” Sam shouted, pushing the boy off his lap and tumbling to the ground. Brody sat up quickly, face red and horrified.
“I, I’m sorry!” he said quickly, scrambling back to Sam’s knees, “I didn’t mean to, I don’t-”
He hadn’t been expecting the slap at all.
It was strong, easily the strongest correction Sam had ever given him. It made his head snap to his shoulder, and then past that to the ground. He whimpered pittifully, suddenly scared of his owner.
“Don’t fucking bite me again. Seriously, what the hell,” Sam muttered as he stood and snapped his fingers at Brody, indicating he should follow. The boy scrambled to his feet, one hand drifting up to try and soothe his sore cheek.
Brody hated the kennel in the garage, but he swallowed down the whimper as he crawled inside. He deserved it, he had been stupid and bad and he bit and he should have a much worse punishment than this. Sam shook his head and locked it before heading back in the house.
With a sigh, he curled up and tried to get comfortable. At least it was a warm night.
