Whumpee who was never allowed to think for themself being forced to slowly start making decisions because Caretaker wants them to be their own person.

Caretaker starts off with very small things, always asking This or That questions to keep it easier on Whumpee who clearly doesnt want to do this. "Do you want to sleep on the bed or the floor?", "Would you like eggs or waffles for breakfast?", "Do you want to wear a hoodie or a T-shirt?" - All things that should be easy questions.

Except they're not easy for Whumpee. Every question asked is followed by 5 minutes of silence while Whumpee tries to figure out what Caretaker wants them to say, wanting to make sure they do whatever is "right".

Caretaker respects every choice they make. Whumpee chooses to sit on the floor to eat instead of at the table? Great. Everyone will sit on the floor with Whumpee now. Whumpee wants to wear a hoodie even though it's sweltering outside? No problem. The air conditioner will be on blast.

The first time Whumpee asks for something without being prompted by Caretaker feels like a miracle.

Living weapon/slave/pet whumpee realizing they don’t have any baby pictures or their lost teeth or anything of their childhood at all. They barely remember it, and so it feels like they just, came into existence fully formed.

Feeling sick looking at other peoples pictures and realize that’s what a kid looked like, that’s what they looked like, while they were being “trained”, how could someone do that to a kid?

Not being able to understand references to movies or books or cartoons because they never did anything other than training, even their education was deadened and cold. After all, what would a kids book mean to a kid that never got to be one?

Hearing caretaker talk about their “inner child” and being confused because it didn’t feel like they had one. They felt like it was too late, that their inner child was snuffed out. Or that they were still just a child in some ways, confused and scared and out of their depth.

Confused when people do things for them without expectation. They had no experience with love of any kind, but especially not the giving, generous, selfless love that might come from a parent or guardian. It makes them uncomfortable, to be cared for. It throws into stark relief all that had been missing in their life, disrupts their sense of the world, but also… it feels good. Like getting into a hot bath after being out in the snow.

Y'know what I'm actually a slut for is Caretaker having no choice but to become the Master because it's the only relationship Whumpee can understand. Caretaker realizing that too much freedom and too much kindness is detrimental because it keeps Whumpee in a constant state of anxiety. Realizing that they can't just take off the collar and leash; they have to hold the leash and train their new rescue back up into a person who wants the collar off.

"Shhh, it's alright," he murmured, his voice a low, soothing rumble. "It's alright to cry. It's alright to feel pain. Pain is how we learn, how we grow. And you, my beautiful pet, have a lot of fucking growing to do."

Hiding their tears

Content: crying, trying to hide it, punishment, bully whumper, sadistic whumper, pet whump, autistic issues

I noticed when people cry a lot their face gets really red all over and stays that way. I think it's from grimacing so much. Anyway this could be useful.

Whumpees that try to cool off their face with cold water so whumper can't tell they were crying

Blinking at the ceiling taking deep shaking breaths trying to make the tears dissipate

When they only have a few minutes to cry before they get caught

When they have to keep up appearances because they're some kind of important (forced) servant/pet and they cannot let whumper know they were crying or they'll be punished

Whumper that bullies them and laughs at them for crying

Whumper that enjoys their tears and whumpee doesn't want to give them the satisfaction

You can also use this for autistic meltdowns

Whumper purposefully fitting their Whumpee with a collar just slightly too tight. Making sure they feel it. Making sure they're very, very aware that every breath is a gift Whumper chooses to grant them <3

Conditioned pet Whumpee happens to be sick exactly when they are rescued from Whumper and the illness masks their conditioning from Caretaker for long enough for whumpee to get it into their head that Caretaker is their new master

Whumpee is too delirious (due to the fever) to notice that the person picking them up and carrying them away during their rescue is Caretaker and not just Whumper moving them somewhere. Of course, if they had known it wasn’t Whumper, they would have freaked out about being taken away from their master.

Whumpee seems overly affectionate/cuddly (just like how Whumper liked) and caretaker just thinks of course they want comfort! They’re sick and tired and they’ve been through a lot!

Caretaker sees that Whumpee has gotten off of their bed in the middle of the night to sleep on the ground? They must have gotten too hot on their bed because of the fever and the ground was cooler.

They won’t eat without being explicitly ordered? Whumpee is so nauseous that they don’t want to eat, but they’re willing to choke down some food for Caretaker’s peace of mind, obviously!

Whumpee is too sick to bathe by themselves, so caretaker helps them, not knowing that Whumper liked to bathe ‘their pet’ too.

Caretaker helps Whumpee out in any way (feeding, brushing hair, carrying them places, etc) not knowing that to Whumpee these are all things their ‘master’ would be doing whether they are sick or not.

And by the time Whumpee is finally better and caretaker starts to notice that all of this is still happening even though Whumpee isn’t sick anymore, they’ve accidentally completely cemented in Whumpee’s mind that Caretaker is just like Whumper. Good luck deconditioning them now!
