The Garden Concert was held one block down from Hunts Point Ave in the South Bronx. With performances by Amanda Maxine, Roseangel aka @bronxinian , Brooks Thomas, Circa 95 and myself as the sound selector. *

High minded, pure soul. Human nature. Our ability to connect with humans has lessened with the emergence of the digital age, or did it? We're desensitized on so many levels and disconnected from our mother, earth. So let's connect. Let's get together and discover more elements of who we are globally and locally. Digital technology when used properly, is a great tool. I'm a flower growing in the concrete jungle. No story, no gimmick, no desire to change people unless they want to become better. Competition and survival of the fittest will never cease to exist. If you don't like something within society, or you're upset with certain leaders, politicians, artists, "role models" or icons, build a team and use technology to innovate and recolonize the minds of our/your people. Human beings on this earth have plenty to go around. However certain people just want more more and more. I don't like greed on any level. Poor, working poor, upper elite. We're so quick to tear each other down, demonize each other's beliefs and ideologies. Sound familiar? Any group of people who endured colonization were also demonized by those who came and conquered. "Look at the way these people live, living like savages." So our connection to the earth was demonized. Everything we were about was suddenly synonymous with evil, dirty, sacreligious, blasphemous, and asenine. Unresolved trauma remains. 272 slaves were sold by Georgetown University in the 1800s by "religious" Jesuits. 2 days after this research is released, we put Harriet Tubman on the $20 bill. Those who have public attention, are not utilizing it to stretch the canvas out and show the bigger picture. I'll be going live on my radio show this week directly from @bxlivenyc I've come a long way in understanding my roots, heritage, family, close friends, but most importantly, myself. Bronx cats performing at the 2nd annual Pink & Black Affair. All proceeds went to families affected by breast cancer. Support #breastcancerawareness and get a check up. Early detection allows prevention. My grandmother passed away from this after beating it twice. This event truly hit close to home for me and it was a true honor to show my craft.
