Fall 11 Accessory Obsessions
COMING SOON!
Coming this May is a modern spin on the new generation of woman through the form of photography with a strong emphasis on beauty, wardrobe, and of coarse – jewels! In their latest collaboration, Tom Banks along with Melinda Miller-Rider and Brook Evans are putting together an editorial production highlighting their perspective of the common day-to-day activities in which a young woman living in Los Angeles might live through her chic existence. Intending to capture scenes such as morning cocktails, late night playtime, and some quirky spins in between; the three will perhaps step outside of some lines and break some bounds in the name of high fashion – none of which come true without the help of LAD accessories, Lizzie Fortunato Jewels. Special thanks to Ben Travato for agreeing to publish the post-production images onto his blog…and somewhat requesting the production.

Located inside one of the most charming communities in Los Angeles – Larchmont Village – is a soothing getaway, Le Petite Retreat Day Spa. Vivienne Westwood: A Melrose Addition
Upon arriving at 8230 Melrose Avenue, I of coarse first noticed the gigantic 9 foot neon pink Vivienne Westwood signature which serves as the store’s exterior signage. While the ground floor has more than 2,000 square feet of retail space, the second floor is dedicated to a very luxurious wholesale showroom.

Concept Lavuk: A Fashion Week Report
Digital media, paint on canvas, and multimedia art installations all align solid white walls as you enter Ace Gallery on Wilshire Boulevard. Winding corridors lead to a packed pavement rectangle housing the oh-so familiar white folding chairs filled with a sea of fashion followers, editorial press, local designers, and LA socials anxiously awaiting the initial event of the week with pre-show entertainment consisting of black and white graphic canvas paintings along the walls with a dj playing electronic trance mixes to satisfy the crowd.
