I can't help but look back on all of the "positive signs" we saw after the initial breakup, and 8x11, and view them through another lens now that season 9 is over.

No, I'm not dooming and glooming, but it's starting to feel pretty clear that what we had is gone and there is an almost 100% chance it's not coming back. Who knows. Maybe all our bitching to ABC got him back for episode 8x11, but maybe that had been the plan all along and after 8x15 there was no plan of Tommy coming back. There's no way to know.

I know we shouldn't put faith in interviews, and I've ignored all media for 911 this season, but I saw the interview Tim did about bringing back Theo so he didn't have to bring back another love interest for Buck. That sounds pretty "nail in the coffin, dooe closed" to me. 🫤☹️

The problem is we've said this since the beginning. Black and brown fans of 911 have said it, it's been echoed by white fans (paid attention to more when they say it which is still an issue but not what I wanna focus on right now).

Fandom is meant to be a fun and inclusive place and in the guise of making it that for gay men, we allowed more space for misogynistic and racist and queerphonic rhetoric.

These people have seen it and ignored it. They know they're causing harm and they don't care. The guy they're looking up to and giving money he doesn't need has the same ideas. It's evident in all the interviews they choose to clip while ignoring the alarming stuff.

So just like we did with the Zionists, I suggest we say outright who the bigots are. Fandom shouldn't be a safe space for hatred.
