In the most unethical money grabbing move, Hulu has just released a documentary about a woman's brutal homicide in 2017 defending her killer after he was convicted unanimously for 1st degree murder and sentenced to life in prison in only 2019. The documentary tries to persuade the public that this psychopathic killer is innocent due to a history of sleepwalking. He is not. He was convicted unanimously by the judge and jury on premeditating her homicide; there is no doubt forensically or mentally in any capacity.
Her family firmly denied any participation in the film after learning it would not focus around their loved one in the slightest.
Dead Asleep was created and released against the family of Brooke Preston's explicit wishes.
Their tragedy is being put under a spotlight to entertain strangers for 90 minutes and have been pleading with Hulu to stop the release. The film includes horrific police footage of Brooke's mother learning the nature of her brutal murder. How are there no legal protections for victims of crime? Even if her murderer can't claim direct profit, Hulu does! How is this not a LITERAL REASON for the Son of Sam law???????
Brooke's older sister Jordan Preston had been running a social media campaign to stop Hulu from profiting off of her sister's death. It is now focused on getting the film removed from the streaming service.
Please take two seconds and type your name for her petition HERE.
Down vote the movie if you have a Hulu subscription to slow its release promotion. It was the first thing on my screen today, disgusting. Hopefully we can bury it from possibly trending while we try to have it removed entirely.
She is most vocal on Tik Tok, so please keep an eye on her there as well!
