I kinda love how laid-back and messy Brooklyn Pride is… it’s like the home-brewed local version of the big Manhattan shindig. (Plus I can just stroll over at the last minute when I realize “oh wait, is that happening today? Whoops!”) Sketches were attempted. Probably an incoherent mess, but I had fun! (And no, I can’t read my hasty scribble handwriting either.)
My piece "Hold On" was included in "Together We Will," a Brooklyn Pride 2023 event at the Old Stone House in Gowanus
It’s been an incredible month full of joy and togetherness (finally!) as we celebrated Pride in and around the Brooklyn Museum. Here are some of our favorite highlights.

I’ve lived here long enough now that I can walk around a Pride event and be like “hey, I’ve photographed that ass before.”
Celebrate WorldPride with Us!
The NYC Health Department is ready for WorldPride! June is Pride month and this year we’re celebrating WorldPride in recognition of the 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising. We’ve got the safer-sex products you need to #PlaySure throughout Pride month.
Come to the NYC Health booth at these upcoming events and get free products including the NYC KYNG Condom, the blue NYC Condom, the classics – flavored, ribbed and extra sensitive male condoms, in addition to FC2s, silicone lube, dental dams, #PlaySure kits and more. We will no longer be distributing the NYC KYNG Condom, so get some before they run out!

Look for our Undetectable = Untransmittable float at the march! “Undetectable” means that the level of HIV in a person’s blood is so low that it doesn’t show up on a viral load test. If a person is undetectable, HIV cannot be passed on to others through sex.
