i’ll be honest i’ve not once encountered a c!wilbur analysis blog that’s actually,, yknow,, good. the worst part is that they almost always either nail c!wilbur’s inner struggles and thoughts and feelings and how his mind works and all that but then they blow it over with some stupid skewed take on how (insert any character opposing c!wilbur that they dislike) is wrong and bad and Evil and c!wilbur is not.

or it’s just them repeatedly spewing out shit takes on l’manburg and c!dream (who is, for some reason, the common enemy here. you know you’d think that maybe c!wilbur and c!dream blogs would get along bc their characters sure seem to in canon currently so..?) and trying to push the “c!wilbur is a naive dummy who had no idea what the consequences of his actions would be so you can’t blame him bc he had literally no idea what he was doing” agenda.

it’s so very frustrating bc on one hand you wish that you could understand a character like c!wilbur as well as those blogs do but on the other how are these people so dumb??? yet so smart ???

Yep yep yep. I've seen good sympathetic c!Wilbur takes that I agreed with and then opened the blog to HELL HELL HELL GET ME AWAY FROM HERE OH GOD WHAT IS THIS TRAUMA DISMISSAL AND VICTIM BLAMING OH GOD.

They get how he works but not how his character's thinking impacts the world around him, in a way. Some seem to believe that if a bad action has its roots in insecurity, mental issues or naiveté then that action is somehow... not bad? That's not how it works buddy, your shitty mental health does not absolve you of responsibility for how your resulting shitty behavior affects others.
