Nicholas had picked up a new brand of protein powder that people were raving about online, with outrageous claims like "instant gains" and "feel like a new man." While he definitely wasn't one of those "gym bros," he figured anything that could help him gain a little more muscle couldn't hurt.
He took a hesitant sip of the protein shake, but then his hand seemed to move on its own, tilting the bottle higher and higher until the last drop was gone before he realized what he was doing.
A strange warmth immediately spread through his body... his shirt seemed to get a bit tighter... his mind felt a little foggy... Then a mix of pleasure and pain shot through him as his muscles swelled, showing off the gains from his dedication to the gym... When his mind finally cleared, he knew exactly what he needed to do.
Everyone knows that a gym bro like himself needs a workout bro to help push each other to grow bigger. He spotted Leonard, the delivery guy, about to leave and knew he couldn't let his bro leave without getting a taste. A strong hand grabbed Leonard from behind and forced some awful-tasting powder into his mouth.
Immediately a warm feeling spread through his body and it became hard to think... no, just hard to think about anything other than the gym... but then, why did he need to think about anything besides the gym and his gains... after all, a gym bro is always thinking about the gym.
Leo turned to see who had grabbed him and saw that it was his workout bro, Nick.
"Bro, we gonna work out or what?" Nick demanded.
"Damn right we are," Leo boomed, a new energy surging through him. "It's swole time!"
