No because okay does anyone think about what it might be like for Joe and Ox to go from Alpha/Alpha to Alpha/Beta
#brothersong#brothersong spoilers#because like I know that Ox is a perfectly capable alpha and all round special guy#he handled the running of the Bennett pack single handedly as a human for several years and et cetera#but also Ox is so unbearably family-oriented and he definitely valued the uncommon dynamic of having another alpha/someone to fall back on#and I still think he turns to Joe in the same way he used to because they're fucking mates that's his man#but like even though Joe's sacrifice was entirely willing and he'd do it again#it's got to be strange.#can you imagine being told since you were a child that you were destined to fulfill this huge role of leading and protecting your family#AND all of the packs in NORTH AMERICA#and being in tune with your pack and your territory in a way betas are not#and then all of a sudden you lose that#do you think it's like being in a sensory deprivation tank? having it all gone just like that?#point is I think there's probably a great adjustment period for him where he has to renavigate what his place is in green creek and the pac#and it would probably bother him for a while#and shoutout to the nightmares he definitely gets after Ox dies on him a second time.#(this time with ox much more aware of what would happen to him than the first)#green creek#green creek series
