i think matt/fiona is the most out there ship that i ship. it’s like me, out here on a raft, and i haven’t even gone into why i like it. he just seems to be soft on her lol

for fahc, i like the idea of her being on a sort of undercover job as a model because the fakes get wind of another gang muscling in on their drug trade, undercutting sales to certain agencies. and they need someone who’s more under the radar to pose as her manager, so they assign the job to matt, who’s a little reluctant to do it because he can’t help but be attracted to fiona, so he wants to put distance between them because he’s only been the most upmost of professionals for his entire time with the fakes and he doesn’t want that to change.

meanwhile, she thinks that he hates her because he’s trying to keep his distance. but the modelling thing is putting all of her best angles on display, and the time that he’s spending with her is pulling all the best parts of her personality out as well. she’s pretty of course, but she’s also funny and sarcastic and she can be really sweet when she wants to be, and she can drink him under the table until she can’t, until she’s draped over him as he walks her home to the apartment that the fakes have rented out for the job and tucking her into bed, sleeping on the couch to make sure that she’s okay.

he has a reputation to uphold, he can’t be getting soft on their newest hire. not when he’s the steely, cold, sometimes cruel architect to all of their plans. they rely on him because he doesn’t let his feelings get mixed in. and, yet, he’s ready to throw it all away for five more minutes of just existing in the same space as fiona.
