Global Rules

ADMISSION & STRUCTURE

Each university has its own specific entry requirements.

ROTATION SYSTEM

While main hoods: 1 day = 1 year

University subhoods: 6 days = 1 year (two 3-day semesters)

Full degree = 4 years = 24 days

LIFESPAN COMPENSATION

Sims who skip university gain +4 days in adult stage.

ADMISSION

Legacy Lineage

Sims with traditional surnames (Landgraab, Goth, Capp, Monty, Roth, DeBateau, Rutherford) are automatically admitted but must pay §5,000 donation to enter (in-game that means giving a gift of 5k to any college professor).

Scholarship Prodigies

Sims without elite surnames must have 4 skill scholarships (or 3 + 1 hidden).

Exclusion Criteria

Aliens and supernaturals never admitted.

Teen jobs may count against admission (exceptions possible).

ACADEMIC FAILURE

Dropping below grade B twice in a row = expulsion.

SOCIAL RULES

Legacy students must join the Secret Society (refusal = ostracism).

To graduate, a student must be friends with at least 3 members of traditional families.

Tuition represented by high household bills (regular in-game expensive houses — no mod here) + tuition mod applied only to Le Tour students.

ADMISSION

Must qualify for a Grades Scholarship.

Must qualify for at least 1 Skill Scholarship in Logic or Mechanical.

ACADEMIC FAILURE

Failure to complete a Final Project (see below).

SOCIAL & CREATIVE GOALS

Before graduation, each student must complete a personal invention or high-skill creation (e.g., Servo, robotics badge, rare flower arrangement, tinkering badge, etc.).

Students are encouraged to live in themed dorms: Science House or Hacker House.

Dorms compete in coding contests, prank wars, and invention expos.

Requires Grade A- + 8 points in Charisma or Creativity.

Alternative: GPA B or higher + Popularity Aspiration OR 15+ friends OR strong personal network (3+ townie/teacher/faculty friends).

Losing popularity (friends or fraternity/sorority membership) may count as failing the social requirement.

CAMPUS LIFE

Must join a fraternity/sorority OR attend at least 5 campus parties.

Must gain at least 5 enthusiasm points in one hobby before final semester.

i feel a little silly asking this, but what does bgp stand for? (loved your 2023 review, and have lots to catch up on)

Hello, anon!

You are not silly for asking. BGP stands for Business Gay Performance. It started last year when @lurkingshan and I were watching Bump Up Business.

Korean group OnlyOneOf is notorious for using queerness in their work. In their show Bump Up Business, two of their members play actors that are working together and using the performance as a gay couple to get additional clout for their band. A real romance develops between their characters. It was surreal to see a show simultaneously calling a Business Gay Performance (their term!) fake, while making a show about how it's actually real. The audacity!

We loved the term a lot, and @respectthepetty immediately used it to highlight that Yin and War have color coded microphones when they do BGP.

Pragmatically, I like to call the actors performing as gay for fan entertainment BGP to signal that I am not shipping them. I like to signal that I'm just enjoy the fake performance of the actors playing around, and not that I genuinely believe that these guys are in love in front of us. I think there are enough real queer actors getting shunned for being open about it, and don't like to pretend that it's okay to fawn over a performance and pretend that it's real. That kind of behavior is a bit off-putting for me. So, I like to use BGP so that we can have fun with a little separation from shipping.

neoAGAB master post?

so i’ve been scrolling thru the MOGAI and LIOM tags and i saw @kenochoric-moved‘s post abt ASAB (assigned sleepy at birth) which inspired me to make my own AGABs with a few ppl in the MOGAI discord server. smn recently asked abt a master post explaining neoAGABs and making an umbrella term so here i am

i would like to propose either Personally Assigned Birth Gender (PABG) or BirthGenderPunk (BGP)

PAGB or BGP, whichever y’all prefer, will simply mean smn who either rejects their AGAB in favor of one they prefer, doesn’t wish to disclose their AGAB for any reason, or simply doesn’t find the concept of AGAB to be important/relevant enough to care and choose their own

i will make a flag soon but y’all can also make ur own, permission is not needed. i will ask if you could reblog or link back to this post so people can get info abt this and find my page for updates abt it

I watched Bdubs' POV, he included the trapping. And it's even worse because him and Impulse were there too and they tried to tell Joel and Etho but they went into the nether anyway because they thought it was far enough. Except Bdubs and Impulse lose points for not disabling the trap AFTER the boat boys went in.

You’re so right Bdubs and Impulse do lose points b/c they had the decency to remember and maybe do something meanwhile my boys forgot because they were too busy thinking about murder. I just didn’t realize that Grian actually got an indirect kill and the whole cause and effect chain that finally took effect. Only in the Life series man.

I admit I didn’t watch all the POVs so thank you for letting me know BGP! :D
