Did you eat the candy pearl? How did it taste?
I don't think there is a better candy connoisseur in Xadia than whoever made that thing.
ok, ok - the story. Astrid and I had this bet going of how many licks it would take to get to the center of this giant candy pearl prison. Before you tell me "it's not a prison," yes it is. The beautiful sugar coating has trapped a delicious chocolate ganache that I cannot wait to destroy.
Anyways, the thing is, turns out it takes A LOT of licks to get to the center of a candy the size of a primal stone. My tongue is raw. I'm not sure I will ever taste anything again. Astrid had the sense to stop at the first sign of sensitivity, but I'm not one to give up on a bet.
In the end, we smashed the pearl to get to the chocolate inside. As one does.
