Bruabba week day 1 that I missed; REINCARNATION

The gang is reincarnated in modern times, but only remember their previous life at a specific moment in their new one (also, no Stands). The new lives are very similar to the old ones up until the point of remembering. Abbacchio gets his memories back when he saves his partner from getting shot and goes into a medically induced coma. When he wakes up, he remembers his Vento Aureo life and the gang. He gets put on desk duty at the police since he's not able to be in action anymore, and gets a pretty decent amount of insurance money from his injuries, which is very helpful once he bumps into Fugo (who has been arrested) and later Narancia and Mista, all of whom remember him as well. Bucciarati, however, is nowhere to be seen, although he seems to have been helping them out from behind the scenes. Abbacchio struggles with not having Bucciarati and dealing with 3 traumatized teenagers who seem to assume he's in charge (even though two of them have previously lived to be like 40). He gets to feel a fraction of the stress Bucciarati felt every day, and on top of that, he has no idea what went down after he died, so he has to find out exactly what he left behind. Later it turns out that Bucciarati and Giorno both remembered their past lives early, and got together to save Trish and kill Diavolo before the past had a chance to repeat itself. Bucciarati made sure to help Abbacchio an the boys before he and Giorno left, but would not be in contact with them to try and ensure no one else would die this time. He eventually makes it back to the gang, but he's just as haunted as the rest of them. The gang learns to both appreciate each other more and love each other better, while also learning to leave the old hierarchy behind and get used to a life that isn't constant crime and danger. Abbacchio stops viewing Bucciarati as a distant idealized authority figure and gets to know him on a more personal level, including how he really feels about having taken care of a bunch of crime teens (spoilers: it was damn hard!! And Abbacchio gets that better now). Also they live together in a house by the sea and are a family.

Bruno was a mafia boss and Abba was a small town cop and they went fishing for one of their dates? And Abba was sick on the boat? They definitely had a *moment* on the boat too.

And there was a chapter where they made fun of Bruno being scared of scary movies?
