Maybe I’m taking a bit of a risk by choosing a specific culture for Talia, but well… it’s my AU, so here we go.

I was looking into different peoples from North Africa, and I eventually settled on the Bedouins because they felt very fitting for Talia. I’ve always seen her as a very strong woman who can adapt to extreme situations in order to survive. The Bedouins traditionally lived a nomadic lifestyle and are used to facing harsh conditions, living in the desert, dealing with scarce water, extreme temperatures, and traveling long distances. So I thought it could be interesting if, in this AU, the #LeagueOfShadows had origins inspired by that kind of culture.

I’m still trying to decide on the color of her outfit. I feel like Talia’s signature colors are green and white, but Bedouin clothing often features a really beautiful deep navy blue, so I might end up mixing those, I’m not sure yet.

I should also say that I’m speaking from a Western perspective, so if I get something wrong please feel free to let me know. This version of Talia is still kind of a prototype, but I actually like her a lot so far, and it would be really fun to keep developing her.

Oh, and yes, Talia has green eyes 😮‍💨 sorry. I have a habit of giving almost all my drawings black eyes and sometimes I don’t even notice, haha.
