The contemporary acceptance of social biological or neo Darwinist explanations, whether they be of aggression, warfare, or mating practices and love among human beings, has much to say about the political climate of contemporary realities or, dare it be said, patterns of social formation in which such explanations are given credence. Their presumed scientific value is already a socio-political value upon which much of their acceptance (truth?) may be founded.
