"If you don’t rest, you won’t heal."

"I still have matters to attend to with far more importance than tending to myself." The bandage that kept her wounds secure had somehow found themselves soaked in blood again, and Kayle hides them as good as she can.

"It will heal."

"You look like a gushing pincushion with those arrows through your wings and and body. I'll patch you up as best as I can, but the sooner we get you to a hospital, the better...." Jade looks down at the wounded angel, sighing.

The angel rips out the arrows without much complaint, and heals majority of the wounds. She doesn't give a damn about what hurts or not. She's had worse.

"What were you saying?"

"You’re bleeding!"

"Ah, yes, I kind of see that." Although Kayle is aware of the state she is in, she does not bother fixing herself up; rather, she merely wipes the blood off her face as if it was just sweat, and plops down the nearest couch.

"It's nothing much. I used to get a lot more of these."

Don't Wake Me: my thoughts

I listen to the songs on purpose just to bring the memories of you back whirling into my mind. I refuse to let them get cold and far from me, not when I want it back. I wont let those moments pass by me so fast ever again. I won't ever say those words without thinking about the consequences. I won't make anymore promises. Maybe we had it wrong, maybe I messed up. Messed up by expecting too much or by giving up my heart. I should have known, I should have listened to myself from the beginning and I should have never let myself get too deep. Too involved in this fantasy. Now I have snapped back to reality and the only time I can lay on your chest or feel the warmth of your lips is in my dreams. The place where we are together, perfectly happy. 

Thats what goes through my mind as I listen to the song over and over. I see us, together and happy, but it doesn't take me long to realize that they are only memories.
