My part of the art trade with @zeppydeppyautodepressy!!
Check out his part here, it's amazing!!!!
Y'ALL Y'ALL Y'ALL
LOOK WHAT I FOUND
so y'all know this page from White Knight right?
WELL I FOUND A COLORED VERSION (with less of the red)
and like the color makes it all look so much worse. White Knight 100% has some of the goriest panels that I have personally seen in a Batman comic and seeing it with all the colors makes this look worse. Joker's left arm is bent at an unnatural angle, Bruce is covered in blood, and you can see Joker's tears more clearly. A lot of the blood was removed from the final cut.
And omg imagine if they kept this in. I love it so much. I love Sean Murphy's use of reds and other similar colors, but seeing the original cut just really makes me want to see what the original sketches of Jack and Bruce's fight scene looked like. Maybe it's just because I'm dumb and I don't look into panels too deeply, but I feel like the red of the first one hides little details that are much clearer in the second one. And I think that works pretty well too, because Bruce clearly gets more and more angry with Joker, which adds more red to his vision.
I love both versions but i feel like the colors add so much more detail that I never noticed.
EDIT: and in the second image, Joker's fresh out of Arkham. Which is even more interesting bc how did he find out about the pills if he was just in Arkham. Also that idea of being so desperate for something, any kind of rehabilitation without asking for it just to help your city that you break out of an asylum where he was probably drugged out of his mind just to try and get his one shot at this omg
brujack is two guys who got married so the worst father award didn't have to be sent to alternating households every year
So unbelievably excited for the white knight mega fic thing!
brujack?
i just awoke like a sleeper agent. bruce wayne and jack drake... doomed stupid silly old man yaoi that makes no actual sense unless youre insane. jack asking bruce why he's interested in him, fully expecting a normal person answer about finding him funny or how much he's changed as person only for bruce to very seriously tells him "you threatened my life" and jacks like oh okay you're one of Those (derogatory).
just the other day i had a funny thought about a fake marriage au where for jacks safety he needs to move into the manor but that would be complicated to explain to the public, so they just. get married. because obviously that is so much easier to explain.
also the funniest thing about brujack is tim and alfred. they both hate brujack for different reasons. tim doesn't want to think about his dad and bruce doing anything in a two feet radius as each other. alfred just hates jack. it's so fucking funny
Desperdicio mi vida y a la inteligencia artificial, solo agradezco que nadie que conozca sepa que tengo Tumblr 😶
I was telling my friend that the Gomez/Morticia dynamic suits the Batjokes/Brujack perfectly.
Much like Bruce being Gomez and Jack being Morticia
Or Batman being Morticia and Jack Gomez
Could it also be vice versa?
(I also really think it fits the Twiddler too, like a neon version of them)
