This is the picture I had done for @keeyanka in the PBG HC Secret Santa! They wanted some domestic Brutalhamster so I decided to make it festive too.   Although... This isn’t the actual one I submitted and finished. I had trouble with my computer on Christmas Eve that kept me from finishing the digital version of the picture. I had to actually redraw it traditionally which... actually made me realize some mistakes I made in this one. As you can see, my dad managed to fix my computer. And since I was almost done and had ideas with this (which I couldn’t replicate with traditional even with my new markers because I’m not completely used to colouring traditionally), I decided to finish it digitally anyways. It makes a nice Christmas picture anyways.

“So you’re from way out there, huh- I guess my life pales in comparison, no puns intended.” Ian watched the stars unblinking, unaware of being the object of complete attention for the boy next to him.

“There are millions of billions of stars- of planets- of systems and black holes- of moons, of bodies of water, of creatures of the known and the unknown and I wouldn’t pick a single other place I would rather be than wherever with you.”

Ian glanced over to him warily, but quickly had to look away from the big old smile Jeff had for him. “Okay, I’ve never blushed because I have no blood but I feel like if I could, now would be the time I would- Just saying that.”

“I can’t believe you made me come out in weather like this..” Ian huffed as he rested his head in his palm, Jeff squashed up against him in the cramped equipment shed. There was a shuffle of movement, a couple of grunts and groans as Jeff readjusted himself, the rain providing a relaxing accompaniment.

“Look, I’m sorry.” Ian raised an eyebrow and lifted his gaze, watching Jeff’s head appear on his shoulder from the corner of his eye, “I wasn’t expecting it to start storming. If you hadn’t noticed, I don’t exactly control the weather.”  Ian let out a soft breath of a laugh, one that could’ve been mistaken for a simple sigh if someone hadn’t been listening well enough, and Jeff continued. “But.. I really do appreciate you coming out to see me play.”

Ian nodded, moving to take hold of the hockey stick prodding him in the back and tossed it aside, wincing as it clattered against the wall and to the floor, “Of course.” He shrugged, “Why would I not come to see you play? You’re my friend and a member of the club and…” He faltered, cheeks flushing as he stared back out into the rain, “Y-You’re important to me. I.. I love you.”

A snort of amusement, an arm tight around his shoulder, and a kiss to the temple later, Ian squirmed slightly as Jeff settled in beside him, “Yeah. I love you too.”
