I love this clip cause his face lights up at the mention of his sister, and everyone else's faces of shock at the mention of where she lives.

Aaron Tveit, Elena Shaddow and More to Join Bryan Perri for FEW WORDS at Carnegie Hall
The performance will take place on April 10, 2025 at 7:30pm at Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall.
By Chloe Rabinowitz, Broadway World Feb 24, 2025
Tony winning actor Aaron Tveit, as well as Elena Shaddow, Jennifer Babiak, Andrea Jones-Sojola, Constantine Pappas, and Drew Seigla, will perform music by award-winning music supervisor, orchestrator, arranger, music director, and conductor, Bryan Perri in Few Words: A Performance on April 10, 2025 at 7:30pm at Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall. The concert is presented by Denise and Michael Kellen Foundation and A.C.T. (A Contemporary Theater) of Connecticut. Aaron Tveit said, “I couldn’t be more honored and excited to get to join my friend, and longtime collaborator Bryan Perri for this tremendously exciting step of his new musical journey!” Perri has built a substantial career working on some of the biggest, most widely recognized Broadway musicals of the last 20 years, including Almost Famous, Jagged Little Pill, and Wicked, and is a beloved musical collaborator to many Broadway artists, including Aaron Tveit. Last year Perri released his debut album as a composer, “Few Words”, a genre-defying work that blends ambient, classical, and electronic elements, offering a journey of introspection and joy. In Few Words: A Performance, he will conduct the first live performance of this music, featuring 20 of New York City’s finest musicians and the soaring vocals of Tveit, Shaddow, Babiak, Jones-Sojola, Pappas, and Seigla. The concert will also premiere Perri’s newest composition, Unorthodox Fairytale. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to experience the music of one of today’s most innovative composers, performed by some of Broadway’s greatest musicians and vocalists. About Perri’s music, Emily Saliers of The Indigo Girls said, “Few Words is an astounding work of music. It is one thing to step back and intellectually admire the sheer genius of the composition and extraordinary performances, and it is an entirely different experience to delve into the music where I found myself immersed in a world of passion, pathos, humor, conversation and whimsy. Few Words is Bryan’s mind and music, but it also becomes our own as we listen and are swept away into the ordered chaos of our own understanding.”
Academy Award winner Cameron Crowe says, "Bryan Perri has broken ground with Few Words, a soulful, personal, singular solo work. Bryan knows how to cast a musical spell like few others. He can fill a theatre with intoxicating feeling and emotion… but here is Perri’s most personal gift. This is the album we have been waiting for, a collection of Perri’s own solo compositions. It’s a sonic landscape and a journey of the heart you won’t soon forget."

"When I was in high school, I remember seeing the Tony performance for 'Next to Normal' and it was really impactful, because that was another like kind of underdog show, not an underdog show because they got recognized. And I believe Tom and Bryan won the Tony that year for music. Maybe I'm wrong. Do you guys know this one for 'Next To Normal'? Well they got, I think they won the Pulitzer, I think it did win a Pulitzer. But anyway, it was kind of a smaller show, not like a big blockbuster show. And then when I saw this performance, I was like, "wow, that like music is insane, I gotta listen to this!" And then I started like going down the 'Next To Normal' hole and like the Aaron Tveit track and started obsessing over the show. And that was one of the most like influential Broadway experiences that I ever had, was getting to see most of the original cast on Broadway. I remember getting to the end of the show. And there's this beautiful song at the end called "Light", and just like the whole theater kind of floods of lights and like these big cans like fly out and I was sitting in the Booth Theater - it was at the Booth Theater, so it was at a low mezzanine. And just like crying, like I couldn't really explain why I wasn't. I think 'Jagged Little Pill' broke me since like now I cry at everything but like back in high school, I didn't cry at all! And like that, it was like a thing for me, that - I was just like, if I can make people feel that way through my performance. Like, that is what I want to do, and that's like the coolest job ever. And also I'm reminded of that moment, every time I'm on stage being, like, there are people out there - I know I've been doing this for two, 300 times, but there are people out there who are seeing it for the first time, who have been obsessing over the soundtrack, who have been waiting months to see this and are having that moment right now, so that's important to remember. And it all kind of stems back to seeing that Tony performance is being like floored. With that, and also, Sidney Lucas' performance from 'Fun Home', I'm not sure if you guys remember that. But it was kind of just her - this like little petite powerhouse of a girl and just like, have this cinematic performance that was so beautiful. So that was another performance, it really stands out to me." - Derek talking about which Tony performances on Broadway stood out the most
