it’s getting hot again and bees need water

hello! bees are very useful animals, as most people know, and since the summers tend to be extra hot and extra dry, it’s helpful to have some water ready for the bees. and birds. or any wild living animals that are tiny. however, giving them just a pond with water makes it very likely that they will drown, so here are some tips on how to keep bees and tiny animals alive

when providing water, put bigger rocks or sticks in it too so the bees and tiny animals have something to climb on should they fall into the water

when you have water in your garden you don’t want to put stones or sticks in for whatever reason (like a pool), try to cover the water so the bees and tiny animals don’t try to drink out of it

this especially counts for water bins please cover those

a bowl with water and stones is already enough

if you have a garden, try out a little pond! let some water plants grow, leave some algae, bees can actually land on algae and are very thankful for the algae

ponds attract other wild tiny animals too, but especially birds! so many new animals in your garden

if you don’t have a garden you can just put some water outside of your window sill for example
