Various BTAS! Rogues having their secret relationship exposed on the news.

Started watching Harley Quinn, and even though I hate how dirty the boys have been done, there are some things in it I really liked. The media talking about relationship stuff especially inspired me. In a way the rouges really are celebrities. Anyways, have some hcs about the BTAS rogues having their secret relationship get blasted on the news.

Scarecrow (Jonathan Crane)

-Jonathan would be embarrassed that it isn't his latest crime that got him back in the news, but rather him holding you tight in a what should have been a very intimate and private moment.

-If he bothered to keep your relationship a secret, then he must have done so for a reason. Either he didn't want you tangled up in his villainous affairs, despite how much he would have preferred you to stand at his side, or he was concerned you would be targeted.

- He makes arrangements for you to move immediately. With how careful he thought he was being he really didn't see this coming, and now here is having to deal with his own "nightmare" scenario. He'd never show you that he is scared for you life though. Even if the whole city knows that the Master of Fear has someone he fancies, he is going to do his best to keep you safe from anyone especially Batman.

Riddler (Edward Nygma)

-Edward is pleased that they finally caught on. After weeks and weeks of leaving hints, paper trails, and semipublic appearances with you, they FINALLY aired the story about the two of you together.

-While he should be more worried that all his enemies now know about you, he already made arrangements. Eddie loves attention, and the story that he had been keeping you all to himself increased the buzz and allure surrounding the two of you.

-You know that under the façade of triumph, Edward is terrified. He starts to hold on to you a bit tighter at night because he is so scared that if he lets go you'll be stolen from him too. This was never what he wanted. Why would he plot to make you an easy target? He would lie and make the blunder sound like some elaborate scheme. At the very least his paranoid contingency plans would be good for something.

Mad Hatter (Jervis Tetch)

-Jervis's reaction all comes down to whether or not they think he is mind controlling you. They can call him any insult, say that you are too good for him, but if they think for even a second that you are somehow coerced into spending time with him, he will be pissed.

-This is why he wanted the relationship secret. He knows he has a reputation, but Jervis tried so hard to change! Can't they see that his devotion is only so deep because it is reciprocated?

-He would card and kill as many reporters as needed to get it all straightened out. No one will ever accuse him of forcing you to be with him again even if that is indeed what is going on.

-If they don't try to slander him, he will be extremely pleased with basically all of Gotham knows you're his.

Penguin (Oswald Cobblepot)

-Similar to Jonathan, if your relationship wasn't public knowledge before it was to either protect you or, unlike Jonathan, to keep you to himself. Oswald believes that you could have your pick of men so he can't help but be a bit jealous when other people stare at you. He is obviously frustrated by the reveal not being on his terms either. However, the two of you looked like a matched pair in the photo presented to the world. He can't be too mad about that.

-Despite his seemingly nonchalant attitude, you will be required to either be with him at all times, or have a hand selected bodyguard with you when he cannot. He might act as if he is untouchable, but he knows that if anyone wanted at him, you'd be dead so fast.

-If you didn't already, you'd be living with him now too. Just another way to make sure his love bird stays safe.

honestly? doesnt know whether to think its cute, be annoyed or worry about you

he stays up all night working on his traps/games so its not like youre waking him up with your shenanigans

the type of boyfriend to take a video of you doing the most ridiculous things without waking you up.

he only stops videoing when youre about to get yourself caught in one of his traps or if youre about to ruin something he's been working on

grabs your hand and leads you back to your bed

Scarecrow:

another man who just doesnt sleep so he takes this as his opportunity to conduct a sleep study!

once he discovers that you sleepwalk, he may ask if you would be willing to accept microdoses of his toxin so he can observe its effects later

that being said, he wants to be as 'hands-off' as possible to not interfere with the study. but if you risk being hurt, he will gently step in and guide you away

he does worry about you but he also thinks its adorable at the same time

he takes pictures and videos for the "study" that are totally not self indulgent and stashed lovingly on his hard drive

Mad Hatter:

even though he is an expert hypnotist, he is a worried mother hen!

he would think that its cute if he wasnt so worked up over you. going forward, he would probably try to snuggle you extra tight just so you cant wander away from him

okay i promise you guys i dont hate oz, i just think despite being well educated, the mans is hella oblivious

he may not even know that youre asleep, he may just think that youre being goofy. if you know that you sleepwalk, youll have to give this man a disclaimer because he just wont know

he thinks its adorable when you get up and just do nonsense. after learning that you sleepwalk, sometimes he worries, but he will just want to see what you do sometimes.

he is a very nurturing and generous person to those he thinks deserve it, including you. do you sleepwalk because of an illness? is it his bed? are you comfortable? just tell him what it is and he will fix it!

i think that he may be a heavy sleeper himself, so sometimes he may not discover you until the morning

It might take asking a few times before Jonathan would be willing to let you touch him let alone hug him. Its not that he hates the idea of physical affection, he just wants to be certain that you are serious about it. He has been tricked into believing someone had held affection for him in the past, and he doesn't want to have his heart broken like that again. You seem like a genuine person, but he finds it difficult to trust even you. However when you call him handsome and look at him so tenderly, he can't deny that he wants to believe you mean it.

His first reaction as you wrap your arms around his slender frame is that it must be miserable to embrace him. As he attempts to reciprocate, he is thinking things like "Is he holding you appropriately? Do you find being this close to him repulsive? Are you ready to let go?" His body stiffens as he his nerves get a hold of him. He almost lets go but doesn't as he notices that you've pulled him even closer to you. Jonathan takes a breath to clear his mind of his negative thoughts. If touching him is that horrible, you would have pushed him away already. His long fingers sprawled across your sides and back lightly press into you as reassurance washes over him.

When he finally allows himself to just enjoy the affection, he has to will himself not to cry. You are so warm, and he has so badly needed someone to just hold him softly. He always thought that it must feel nice to be embraced by someone who cares about you, and it really is! Flushed, he whispers a "thank you" when you finally end the hug. Though he might not ask you for it, he would never turn down your affection again.

Waylon would just think you're like everyone else that cozies up to him, some sort of thrill seeker looking for a one night stand or one of those sciency types wanting to rip off one of his scales for an experiment. While he doesn't really mind the former (not that that's ever actually the case but maybe it will be sometime...), he really doesn't like dealing with the latter. However, he isn't going to turn down any company, and if you annoy him, he can just rip you apart.

Maybe it starts as something like a few kind words. Sure, he has had people sweet talk him before, but you don't actually seem like you want something from him. When you ask if he would like a hug, he is agrees in with a "sure, whatever." At first, he is repulsed by your soft touch. He doesn't understand why you are treating him so carefully. Are you trying to pull something over on him? What are you even getting out of this? Then, as you continue to hug him he is just feels so happy. He doesn't understand why he feels so good from just being hugged.

Has anyone ever just hugged him? He really can't remember anyone doing so so maybe that's it. Or maybe you are just really good at it? He doesn't know, but he really doesn't want it to end. When you pull away, he honestly feels mad. Did he say you could stop? Instead of saying anything stupid, he just wraps his arms around you for a little while longer.

BTAS Batman x reader relationship headcanons? no pressure and thank you for taking this request

The big bat himself ooo. Sorry I have some thoughts on him GHFJD. Also there are so many contingencies here. At least I think Batsy would be proud. And thank you for requesting! I might be rogue-focused, but I like a few of the Bats too.

- Meeting him as Bruce would be the easiest way to get to date him. Though a trust fund kid might find it more difficult to foster a true relationship with him than an employee who he flirts with occasionally after meetings.

-Bruce is a charming man in a lot of ways. He might act dumb more often than not, but occasionally he will be forced to show just exactly how he manages to keep Wayne Tech afloat among his other business ventures. In those moments you get to see why he is considered reliable and just might make you consider giving him a chance.

-Meeting him as Batman first, would make it a bit more difficult unless you are actively fighting with/against him.

-If you caught his eye as a hostage he saved, he might find out who are, and see if it would even be reasonable to meet you properly.

-No matter exactly how you first meet, he would prefer you have an actual relationship with his unmasked persona above everything else. You would be safer without the connection to the vigilante, but also early on, he can't risk you knowing his identity even if he wants to tell you everything. Maybe an unwarranted fear, but Catwoman falling for Batman and leaving him for his masked persona left an impression on him.

-His dates as Bruce are extravagant in public. Whether its trips to famous resort destinations or expensive galas, he loves to show you off if you are willing to indulge in that. However, dates at the manor are more intimate and quiet. Most of the time he just enjoys chatting with you on the couch watching tv as Dick or Tim bug Alfred over how happy he looks.

-Bruce loves to just hold you in his arms and whisper how much he cares about you. Sometimes he has a hard time letting go because of how much he is afraid to lose you.

-You make him genuinely smile which Alfred would tell you hasn't happened in a long time.

-Gifts are expensive but meaningful. He only wants to give you things you would enjoy because he does know that his money can be intimidating.

-The best thing you can get for him is a picture of you for him to keep. He is always looking at the portrait of his parents, and if anything happens to you he wants that for you as well.

-He'd never tell you, but he has spent many nights with Alfred talking about whether or not he should stay with you. How can he bring someone else into his crazy life, but how could he deny himself of someone so wonderful either?

-If you happen to be a rouge, just know he is counting down the seconds till the relationship ends. He has been burned with Selina and Harvey by hoping that they really did want redemption and so he won't allow his feelings to muddy the waters if you ever do want to quit crime. In turn, he would never give up his life of crime-fighting, and he can't risk you using his secret identity against him. He cares deeply about you, but it just wasn't meant to be. He would just have to do his best to get over you.

-If you are also a vigilante, his life is a bit easier as he has no qualms about telling you who he is at the right time. Since you are working along side him, he is even more protective of you than if you didn't.

-For a civilian he will try to be there for you as Bruce. He isn't acting as much as people might believe he is as the playboy millionaire so when he tells you how much you mean to him he hopes you can believe him. Even if things don't work out between you, as long as you allow him, he will still try to reach out to you. Whether its getting a new job at a new company or supporting your love of the arts with a donation to the local theater, he won't forget what you loved and cared about beyond him. It wouldn't even matter if you broke Bruce's heart, he honestly cares so much that he would still put himself out there just to make sure that he at least tried to make things cordial between you.

-Telling you he is Batman would have to come after many complicated nights. If he did want to marry you, he'd have to tell you to feel good about it.

-If somehow you manage to start something with him as Batman, he is a lot more handsy and protective than he'd normally be. He doesn't know how long he will have with you, and he is trying his best to keep you around for as long as he can. That also means that he might only see you once a week if you are lucky. Not being able to be Bruce with you eats at him slightly, but its just how things have to be. Though he is normally rough with his rogues, when it comes to you he is extra violent. It gets to the point that only Joker would dare try to involve you in his schemes.

These are more general versions of these characters, but as my more of default is BTAS I am gonna tag them that. As for the extra character choices, these are just who I thought of something for. Hope you enjoy!

Bane (Eduardo Dorrance)

-While he had a feeling you were going to propose today, he thought it might be better to act surprised so that you can enjoy your fun.

- "[Y/N], what do you think you're doing?"

- You'd think he'd be more upset about not being the one proposing with how suave he likes to be. However, he never really thought that being married was all that important so he never even considered it being something he would do.

- "Mi vida, how could I ever say no? Of course I will marry you."

-There hasn't been room or time in his life for someone to be in his life for more than a fling, but he has been with you long enough to know that he couldn't imagine his life without you.

Harley Quinn (Harleen Quinzel)

- "What 'cha you doing puddin'? You'll get your knees all banged up."

-It isn't till you pull out the ring that she understands what exactly is going on. The moment she sees it she is screaming from excitement. It doesn't matter if its the nicest ring or an actual ring pop, Harley is just happy that you care about her that much that you want to marry her.

- "You betcha! You're my best friend in all the world, and I can't wait to spend every day with you!"

-This means the world to her that you asked. Sure she would have been happy if you wanted her to ask, but the reassurance that you wanted to be with her fills her heart up.

Penguin (Oswald Cobblepot)

-You have been talking about getting engaged and had even talked about what rings to get. He had started making some plans himself to propose, but it seems you had made yours much sooner.

- "My sweet dove, I am touched, but if only you waited I would have proposed myself."

-After you pour your heart out about him and pop the question, he will smile at you oh so knowingly.

-"Of course I'll marry you, my love. I couldn't imagine anyone else as my lovely mate. "

-He isn't upset that you went ahead and asked. Sure, he would have loved to make a spectacle of it so it would be memorable for you, but he supposes that this is just as memorable.

-Since you are basically dating 3 people, there are plenty of quicks. Even more complicated Harvey isn't into Edward that much, which can cause some strain on their relationship when Two Face isn't in charge.

-Whether you want to be or not, you end up as the mediator in fights which can be very difficult on each of them when you don't take their side.

-On the other hand, Harvey and Edward both enjoy the morning crossword which makes at least breakfast with them pleasant. Edward would even make you two breakfast just to show off.

-All of them like things to be a certain way so deciding what to have to dinner coming down to a coin flip which often leads to Edward calling for a do over. Even cuddling/sleeping positions can be complicated because its more pleasing for Two Face if you two are cuddling him, but Edward likes being the center of attention, and Harvey always suggests you are in the middle to have things be more fair.

-It isn't all bad though, they really do love you. Harvey can be very reasonable when Ed wants to spend just some time with which makes Edward try to be more understanding in turn. Of course, he loves attention a lot so he makes sure that if when he is good and patient that Two Face and you reward him.

-As men of expensive tastes and flair, they are always gifting you fancy clothing or jewelry so that you look the part of their partner.

-Edward and Two Face don't really team up when it comes to schemes so goodbyes can be bittersweet. Two Face might ask for a kiss for luck from you both while Edward might say he doesn't believe in it in between the quick smooches.

-If you are a villain yourself then they might be convinced to work together but only in phases.

-If you are a civilian, one of them typically lays low with you so you aren't lonely. They see how hard its is on you to see one of them locked in Arkham let alone both of them.
