So there is this thing in Battletech called the Lorix Order - the idea that the Mechwarrior class is the peak of society and everything else exists to support them.
It's a terrible way to organize a society, but it makes sense for a game about fighting giant robots that society might work that way. A big part of the game is building wacky weird robots and smashing your latest designs against your opponents.
It also makes sense that there would be people in the game universe who reject the Lorix Order and the Battlemech-bssed worldview of their society.
So my latest BTAU run is called 'No Mechs No Masters!' and we are humiliating the mechwarriors of the world with only combat vehicles and battle armor.
The start has been going a little slow but we have a pair of Manticore heavy tanks and soon we should be able to get at least one LRM carrier.
What’s this? DC content? Gasp! Though I’ve been on a huge Maximoff kick the Batfam will always hold a special place in my hyper fixations. Red Hood study based on this image from Titans:

Watch Me Strike a Match | Phinnip (Texas AU)
Honestly, Phineas had always wanted to get out of town, but for the time being, the country club gig was pretty sweet. Yeah, he had to carry people’s stuff for them, but he also got to hobnob with the rich golfers. And in between, he got to sneak off with Pip which just made him feel very cool. So yes, Phineas wanted to get out of town... but he wasn’t in any rush.
Which was why, hanging out with Pip on their break behind one of the supply sheds on the golf course, Phineas tried to keep the conversation to stuff that was happening in the moment. Not the future. Things would work themselves out. “Hey, you need a taste tester for that pie contest? I think I’m getting close to wearing Tony down about doing my math homework that’s due tomorrow, so I’ll finally have the night off,” Phineas joked, grinning.

CHARACTER PROFILE
Name: Doc Dian Morey
Occupation: Town doctor at Tibb’s practice, Volunteer Rodeo/Fair Medic
How Long Have They Lived in Swynlake: Native
State Fair Competition of Choice: He is just here in case someone gets hurt ♥
They’re the talk of the town because…: He left his family farm high and dry to pursue higher learning! And he doesn’t pay attention to his hot wife!
Biography: Dian Morey is the eldest of a large brood of boys. In being the eldest, he strived to be the least troublesome. His days were spent keeping all of the others in line, and attending the farm when his parents needed him to. He was never the problem child. That was until he came of age to go to college… his parents expected him to continue to work at the Morey Family Farm, but Dian had other passions. Anatomy captured his mind in school and all he wanted to do was pursue further learning. He dedicated his life to school and in his brother’s words was “never seen without a book under his nose.”
After finally graduating medical school, he easily found work at Tibb’s practice in Swynlake. The work ran him ragged but he’d never been so happy before. Helping people was his calling. And then he was introduced to something, well, someone that made him even happier. His younger brother introduced them and it was an instant connection. Elena Castillo Flores was the sharpest and most beautiful woman he’d ever set eyes on. Her babies were just as beautiful. Soon he was taking any break he had to be with her and though it was so fast, Dian found himself shopping for rings. Women like that don’t come more than once in a lifetime.
Now, they are married and their children are in school. Dian, however, is busier than ever. Day in and out the people of Swynlake seem to be needier, giving him less time to spend with his family. Maybe after the county fair he can finally settle back down and work on growing it even more!

Name: Ian Lightfoot
Occupation: Swynlake High Senior and hunting for an internship
How Long Have They Lived in Swynlake: All 18 years of their life.
State Fair Competition of Choice: Dog Training: Herding/Working class showing
They're the talk of the town because…they rule over the social world of Swynlake High but it's because their home life is so unstable they need to control something.
Biography (200 words):
Ian is a self-made force of command in the hallways of Swynlake High. Handsome, athletic, charming; it was no wonder he enjoyed popularity from the start of his school years. Ian thrived, in spite of a childhood riding accident that left him cautious and more nervous than he would dare show.
Everything seemed perfect, until it wasn't. When his father was killed during a violent break-in, the family fell apart; it was Ian's sixteenth birthday.
The world wasn't a good place; he learned.
His mom went from PTA parent to spending all her time at work as a member of the Swynlake police force, obsessed with finding her husband's killer. His older brother Brandon lost himself in fantasy games and Ian was on his own most of the time.
He's doing just fine; turned his helpless and terrified feelings into focus and climbed the social ladder so quickly he soon sat at the top of it. It's something left to hold onto.
Ian doesn't need anyone or anything though, he can take care of himself as he's had to for years now. He does the work, he keeps it all in line and if people don't like it? Who cares? His peers listen to him because he's right, his charismatic front might be a ploy to control his surroundings but honestly? Where would they be without him?
