Featured Character - Sage Audgar

This month’s featured character, decided by a popularity poll, is Sage Audgar - Son of the Soil!

Sage is an elven youth who lives alone on a farm in Central Aber, comprised of a considerable amount of land in the Rolling Place. He grew up the only child of two successful high elf farmers, and spent most of his young life at home tending to his crops and livestock. Eventually, they passed, and Sage inherited the farm from them. A seemingly simple individual, Sage has a straightforward personality and a generally carefree disposition. Though he appears to be an average farmer, as time has passed, others have found him to be more mysterious than perhaps they first bargained for. With many connections in Aber’s capitol Lochy, particular tastes and a strange herb in hand, one might begin to wonder exactly who Sage really is. Is he truly just a farmer, or something more? Players should keep a close eye on this individual, and perhaps regard him with some amount of suspicion and caution. There might be more to him than meets the eye.

At the risk of sounding stupid, what does “DnD based” mean in this case? Is it just DnD on discord or are you only taking some of DnD’s elements? I’ve done both rp and DnD before but I’ve never seen this phrase come up. 😅

Hello! This is actually a great question because I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen the phrase come up either, and I’m sure a lot of people are unsure as to what it really means.

This rp is based on D&D 5e character creation elements such as race, class, background and all that good stuff. Players submit both a profile for roleplaying, and a character sheet if they wish to engage in the more technical D&D elements that are sprinkled in. The bulk of the rp is made up of third-person roleplaying, with interjections from the DM/s if players would like a more D&D esque experience. Generally, it looks something like this:

      [ DM interjection ]

      [whatever you rolled if the dm requested a roll]

      [ DM interjection ]

      Character response 2

      Character response 3

      Character response 4

This RP does have elements like encounters, and a chat specifically for combat to be played out as it would typically in D&D. Players may opt out of these more technical aspects to go for a more roleplay oriented experience! Everyone, though, is subject to a milestone-based leveling system, and all characters begin at level 1. If you have any further questions, feel free to send us another ask! When will the application window end? :0 and if we applied when do you think we’ll get notified if we got accepted?

The application window will be open indefinitely until we receive enough applications to create a stable starting userbase! I’d say this would be around 5 accepted applicants. If you apply, you should receive a notification of acceptance within anywhere between a few minutes to a few hours.
