So, Ria was pretty positive she hadn’t been this nervous about something in her entire life. Here she was, about to go meet Ava to actually talk to her for the first time since confessing her feelings for the girl, and she was pretty much preparing herself for a let down. How could she have been so stupid?? She hadn’t even gotten to the·“do you like girls” convo with Ava, and for some reason, her drunk self had though kissing her was a good idea. She ruined everything herself a long time ago, and she knew she was basically showing up for a huge let down, and that there was nothing about this that was going to feel good. Ria felt herself shaking slightly while she drove, thankful for the fact that Ava lived close enough that she could avoid the freeway right now. She tried to get a hold of her breath, but it was almost like she couldn’t find it, or like it was lost somewhere in the wind where she couldn’t hold onto it. It couldn’t be that bad, right?? At least Ava probably wouldn’t yell. She hoped. Ria swallowed hard as she finally parked her car in front of the Rose residence, sitting in her car for a couple of minutes to try to regain some form of composure. But those few minutes turned into ten, and then she knew she had to get out. She’d taken too long anyways. Ria opened the car door, feeling her heart fluttering all over the place as she heard the sound of the small wedges she’d worn clicking against the asphalt. She wasn’t sure if she was going to survive this, but she at least had to try. Ria approached the door, knocking on it faintly while she tried to just focus on breathing. Breathe in, breathe out. That was the most important thing here.
