BTS Comeback Speculation…

So my thoughts on the upcoming comeback have been varied, but the more I think about it the more finely tuned my thoughts are on it.

Pre-release single / lead single:

So we know the boys are headed back to Las Vegas for the Billboard Music Awards on 16th May. Of course, I (and others), have theorised that boys will debut a new song then.

I personally think we're getting an English/predominantly English pre-release single in the vein of Black Swan on 13th May, with a debut performance at the BBMAs on 16th, but will be more of a lead single.

I'm expected a summer song/banger and will have songwriting credits from some members.

BTS WE:

I think that we're going to get a follow-on type name from BE and using We Are Bulletproof in the announcement as a clue, I think the album will be called "WE", or a variation on this.

I think regardless of the content in BE, I think the title was originally decided though with a different concept and would have been the album released after MOTS7 regardless, just with different songs and overall feel.

Also, WE feels like the natural follow-up name to BE.

Content:

Outside the lead single, most of the songs will be Korean heavy.

The second single, will be release when the album drops, on 10th June.

Will have around 9 songs

We'll get 1 collab

It will also feature Permission to Dance and Butter.

It will have a good mix of hip-hop, vocals and EDM, with some harking back to the debut era in some songs.

I think we'll get song titles that pay homage to songs on O!RUL8,2 and 2 Cool 4 Skool.

It will have a diss track of some kind on it, that will be directed subtly towards Billboard and the Grammys.

There will be no solo songs

I could see us get 3 subunit songs

The colour tone of the album will be either Red like O!RUL8,2 or Very Peri because of the colour of the year, and Butter, MOTS7 and PERSONA all had colour of the year tones.

It'll be a FESTA (i.e. debut anniversary) Comeback

Because the comeback is happening at the same time as when BTS hold their annual anniversary event, I think FESTA will tie quite heavily into the release, and we'll have 10 days (between 1st and 10th June) of album / single linked content.

It will also mirror the release schedule of No More Dream, and start with a teaser on 26th May.

The lead song / album will not directly link BTS Universe, as it's part of a "new" chapter.

Muster/BangBangCon:

I think we could get another 1 or 2 day a fan event/concert, on either 12th/13th/14th June, similar to last year's Muster SOWOOZOO. It could be held at the Seoul Olympic Stadium, considering it appears to booked between the 7th and 16th June.

I'd expect it to be streamed for free unlike last year, as it'll be linked directly to the comeback. They will have a full audience, this time with no restrictions, so I'd expect the in-person audience to pay for tickets.
