Taegi Hospital AU
Taehyung is enjoying himself like any other day, playing video games and screaming at is opponents. He hasn’t slept in 2 days, attempting to achieve a rare achievement only a few have received. He hasn’t stopped to eat nor hydrate himself. Even if his eyes are droopy, even if his stomach is singing, even if his mouth ‘s tears have dried, he continues on.
He’s near the end now, closer than ever to his final goal. Just before he can retrieve the flag, his consciousness departs as he drops his controller. His mind goes dark and blank. He can’t move. All he can do is look around him, not being able to use his 5 senses at all.
He later than realizes that he’s in a hospital bed, wires and tubes attached to him. Doctors are incubating him, helping him breathe as his heart slows rapidly. He watches from the side of his death bed, crying at his mistake. He should have prioritized his own life over some stupid video game.
As the doctors finally gave up, the dreaded noise of a prolonged beep surrounds his ghostly body. He stares down at his feet in anguish, reflecting on everything he never got to accomplish. He sighed as tears flowed down his cold, slightly tanned cheeks. His chocolate brown eyes, in absolute dead disbelief.
A sudden large hand cupped his slumped shoulder, bringing his attention away from his cold feet. A man, considerably shorter and much more pale than he was, looked up at him with a smile. “You just had to go and mess up, huh?” His deep, raspy voice enveloped the younger boy’s ears.
He may have not been able to visit many places, nor may have been sent to heaven, but he was happy he at least found his love.
