It happened again. You woke up drenched in your own sweat and you didn’t know why. You had a suspicion that you may have been having nightmares, but you couldn’t recall them now. The only sensation left was emptiness and wondering how your dream could be so intense as to affect your emotions upon waking. The worst part was that you couldn’t remember what you were dreaming about. It was strange not to be able to recall something that had such a deep impact on your physical being.

Wiping the sweat off your forehead and waiting until your heart beat steadied, you moved off your bed and walked towards the bathroom getting ready for the new day that awaited you.

Continuing with the same routine, you glance at yourself in the mirror and begin the daily self-analyzing ritual.

THAT was something new. Where had that come from? Was your dream so wild that you scratched your own shoulder? “How is that even possible?”, you ask no one is particular. “Hmm, these don’t look like my nails would have done this..maybe I scratched myself on the bed somewhere.” Making a mental note to check your mattress later, you just ignore it and go on with your day.

Everything plays out as usual. The same long ritualistic hours slowly ticking away. You have a yearning feeling the entire day. It’s a feeling like you forgot to do something. Keeping yourself busy all day seems to help you settle down. But, in all honesty, you truly cannot wait to be home. Soon the sun begins to set, and you’re on your way to your safe haven. As soon as you enter your home, you kick off your shoes and head towards the shower. Once undressed you step under the warm water and let your stress wash down the drain. Eventually, you find yourself on your bed ready to relax and release the burden of responsibility for the next eight hours, that is, until you close your eyes.

He was there again, just like you remember him. It was only in dream that you could even recall what he looked like. The very source of your simultaneous heartache and fulfillment. His dark brown orbs for eyes-shining brillliantly with the day’s sun. He was walking along a field of flowers. His hands were caressing each and every petal he passed and he walked with his face up towards the sun. The sun’s energy seemed to be filling him with pleasure and soon he came to stand in front of you. You don’t even recall how you got where you were, or how long you’d been there.

“Hello, Y/N. I’ve missed you.”, he says. The voice you hear instantly brings you relief and you long to hear it again. Who was he? Why did you feel so much longing for him? What was his na...??? “J-Jungkook?”

“Yes baby, it’s me. I’ve missed you so much. Why haven’t you come to see me? I waited all day.” He’s standing right in front of you. His body tall and relaxed. He hasn’t touched you yet, but you wish he would.

There were honestly no words to relay as you had no idea how you knew his name, nor why you felt the feelings you felt. You missed him too. You felt so compelled by him. “I missed you too Jungkook. I didn’t mean to leave you alone. I had responsibilities to take care of.” The words escape your mouth uncontrolled.

Jungkook looks up at you and smiles, but it’s not a soft smile. It’s one of those smiles that makes you weak in the knees, and he aimed it right at you. His eyes skimmed down over your body before landing on your hips. You suddenly remember him, all over, everywhere, and all at once!

Your heart suddenly starts beating rapidly. Oh god, how could you have forgotten? You start to smile back. He raises his right hand and brings it your your shoulder where you had your scratches. His thumb gently brushes over your skin in circular motions. He smiles knowingly and then brings his lips down over your shoulder to kiss it gently. It’s so seductive it sends shock waves throughout your body. “Sorry about that baby. Maybe a tree is not such a good place to be near when we’re together.” He leans down and places a warm gentle kiss on your lips. His mouth is so soft and delicious. You reciprocate and soon find your hands moving up to the nape of his neck where you grab at his hair. He licks along your bottom lip and you open up to let him in. Once he’s made contact with your tongue, you both moan into each other’s mouths so desperately.

Just when he pulls back and looks like he’s about to devour you whole... beep beeep beep...

Eyes fluttering open you realize the sun is up and your body is hot all over. You sit up abruptly. Why were you sweating again?? Why did your heart feel like it was going to jump out of your chest? What?? Wait... who was Jungkook? Your mind reels at what the hell you were feeling. Something was wrong. No normal person wakes up like this and whispers a name they don’t even know. Your try the name on your lips again and your heart goes into overdrive. Suddenly in your mind you can hear a voice, it’s so faint, but it’s there. Shutting out the noise around you, you focus in on it. Closing your eyes and laying back down; head against your pillow, you can hear it again. It’s almost like the voice is right near your ear. It’s like a warm whisper. Your skin immediately breaks out in goosebumps.

”Y/N, where have you gone to, baby? I haven’t finished with you yet. Do you know what you do to me? Princess, can you feel me all over you? How I want you?”.

The voice sends a shiver throughout your body and you squeeze your thighs together at the words so familiar. You strain to focus harder at the voice.

Seemingly without being in control, you do as you’re told. Bringing your right hand up, you place your pointer and middle fingers into your mouth and wet them. “Good girl.”, says the voice. The creaking of a door and a bright light causes Jungkook to squint his eyes in pain.  How long had it been that he’d been enduring his punishment.  From what he could last recall, it should have been a month, but his mind and body told him that he had definitely been in darkness for a much longer time. Perhaps he had not been as favored as he thought he was.  Glaring over he could see a shadow looming at the door frame. His eyes took much too long to adjust due to the lack of exposure to any form of light.  Another of his senses had also been heightened as he had not heard or seen any life form during this time.  Was his mind playing tricks on him? He had a couple of those episodes here and there when he started feeling his most desperate and lonely. “Jungkook, are you ok?”

That voice, it was familiar, yet Jungkook’s mind could not focus in on who it belonged to.  “Jungkook?” There it was again, wait, was that Namjoon?

“Hey it’s me, are you ok? I’ve been waiting until the day I could come get you.”

“Namjoon, ho- how long have I been here?” His vocal cords scratched as he spoke, he felt thirsty and confused.

“Jungkook. it’s been two years.” Namjoon shook is head slowly and his vision was downcast.  Did Jungkook really not know how long?  He should have been a better friend and been more aggressive in his warnings.

“Your sentence was changed when it was found out that you had been seeing Y/N in her dreams without permission.”

Jungkook could not believe that he had been alone for two years.  What had happened to Y/N?  Would you remember him?  Were you with someone new?

“Help me out of here Namjoon, I have business to attend to.”

These past few years for you have gone amazingly well. You had gotten a promotion at work, started to sleep better, and finally moved into the apartment of your dreams-yet it always felt like there was something missing. You didn’t want to seem negative as you had so many wonderful things happening in your life, but even in the midst of all your blessings, you could never feel a complete happiness.

Getting to work your friend, Danalla, had bought you a coffee and had set it neatly upon your desk. Her small gesture makes you smile-she was the only person who knew how you had been feeling.  Honestly, if she hadn’t been there for you to vent out your frustrations, you don’t know where you would be now. Deciding to thank her personally, you set out to search for her when suddenly you turn a corner and bump right into a hard chest. 

“Oh gosh, I’m so sorry”

Seemingly fine he flickers his eyes up and down your figure, the move so quick that you don’t notice it.

“It’s ok, it’s no problem. Are you ok?”

“Yes, I’m ok... are you....?” Your mind tries to search for his name, but his handsome face makes it hard for you to find it. Wasn’t he the new intern?

“Yes, thank you. Hey isn’t your name Y/N?” Amazing of him to recall such information yet you couldn’t recall his. How did he know yours anyways? Basically you showed up to work, worked your ass off, and then went home. Being an introvert sometimes limited your opportunities and your social life.

“That’s correct. I’m sorry I can’t recall your name.” 

You suddenly feel stupid. The guy obviously took great detail in remembering yours for some unknown reason, yet here you were unable to conjure up his.  Your brain was truly muddled.  Apparently hot men crossing your path seems to create some sort of short fuse in your brain. 

“It’s Taehyung, Tae for short, this is my second week here. Don’t feel bad for not knowing. I should be more careful when I’m walking. Everyone here is always in such a rush.”

Cute and polite, the best combination. Truly cute wasn’t the right adjective..more like stunning. Tae continues to talk to you, but once again you were lost in your thoughts.

During his one sided conversation he notices your face is scrunched up and focused on him. He doesn’t say anything because he thinks it’s cute. A  chuckle suddenly brings you to reality. 

“Nice to meet you Y/N, maybe we can hang out sometime.”

“Ugh yeah, sure sounds good.” 

What had you just agreed to? For once you should listen to what people are saying because now you’re left wondering what his beautiful mouth had just said.

Jungkook was standing there entire time fuming at what had just taken place before his very eyes. While he was eternally grateful that he was still able to see you in spirit form, he could not communicate with you until you slept-that had been the deal. Even in his state of jealousy he found an inner peace at knowing you still had not been committed to anyone.  

 He didn’t like the way that guy stared at your mouth while you spoke. He could tell the male being was attracted to you by the way he shifted on his legs trying to control his primal urges. He didn’t like it one bit. He was going to have to remind you who you belonged to, immortality be damned.  

Your eyes flutter weakly as you try to resist the sleep that wants to take over your body. You only had one more chapter to finish, but sleep is a much stronger force than your will to read.

A dream, that’s what you were currently in, though you can’t remember the last time you were in one. “Hello, Y/N.”

You tilt you head and turn quickly at the sound. That voice sounded so familiar. You see him then, standing in front of you dressed in white. You know him, but yet you don’t. Frustration started to boil it’s way up your body and you start to speak, but he beats you to it.

“It’s me, Jungkook. You may not remember me, but-”

“I, do- I remember you, well, some of you.”

Jungkook closes his eyes to hold back the emotions that are threatening to spill out of him. You hadn’t completely forgotten. Your love for him must be strong, otherwise how could you remember? He opens his eyes and swallows being cautious at how to approach you next.

“Tell me, what do you remember?”

You’re fiddling your hands as you try to pull the information about this person out of your head.  He feels so right, so... yours.  You can’t understand the feelings you are experiencing at his mere presence.  It’s like your body is telling you to reach out and touch him now. You feel desperate and overwhelmed.

“I- I know you. I just can’t- I want...ugh, I’m sorry I-”

Jungkook can’t take it anymore.  He steps up to you and kisses you. At first you want to react and push him away, but instantly you’re melting your body against his as this feeling was all too familiar. He’s gentle with the kiss, bringing his hand to the back of your head to secure you in place.  He deepens the kiss by licking over your bottom lip allowing him access into your mouth.  His tongue is soft and warm against yours and all you want is more of him. Jungkook take a moment and steps back.  He grabs your face  between his large hands.

“I’m so sorry, Y/N, it’s just that I missed you so much and I couldn’t help myself. I shouldn’t have been away for so long.”

You’re still trying to come to your senses, foreheads against each other, as you catch your breath.  He’d been away, he missed you, all of this you connected with. Your eyes focus and you look up at him. Once you land on his beautiful eyes, you start to cry.  Why was this happening? You felt so sad and burdened like you missed him too. He grabs your chin and lifts it to once again kiss you softly.  His hands come to wrap around your waist and he pulls you closer to his body.  He is warm and hard at the same time. He completely embraces you and it makes it you feel ten times better.

“It’s ok baby, you can cry. I shouldn't have left you for so long, but I’m here now.”

You don’t know why, but it makes you feel better and so you lift up on your toes and kiss him back.  It catches Jungkook by surprise, but he lets you continue. Whatever your body was doing right now felt right and you weren’t about to stop yourself.

“I don’t know why, but all I want to do is kiss you and hold you.  I barely remember who you are, but I need you all over me..please, I need you.”

Jungkook could not be more happy. He makes love to you twice and you were responsive both times. Falling asleep in his arms, Jungkook is more than thankful that you held some form of memory deep in your heart even if it was hard to connect the pieces.  What was he going to do when you woke up and left him alone to wait for you to sleep again?  He makes his final decision.

You wake up the next day with a much happier outlook on life.  What had happened over night to remove that lonesome feeling from your heart?  You didn’t want to complain or dwell on it for fear that it would go away.

Once you walk into your office you try to find Danalla to tell her that you have finally lifted that eternal cloud of sadness off of your head.

“Wow, girl, I’m so happy. What in the world caused this sudden change?”, she asks.

“I’m not sure, I just feel like whatever it was that I needed is finally back and I don’t feel so depressed anymore.”

Jungkook was unable to visit you in your dreams.  An urgent assignment had been put upon him and Namjoon.
