Jaesi and Yoongi unexpectedly met each other after a long time
The rain poured heavily as you were waiting for your usual ride home from university. The freezing Seoul wind made you miss your hometown where you can get your mom’s delicious homemade clam soup during these gloomy weather. While lost in your thoughts, the shed got crowded with people taking shelter, pushing people here and there, making you feel a bit light-headed. Since you weren’t in a hurry, you decided to leave the shed and take shelter at a coffee shop nearby.
As you entered, the first thing you noticed was the sound of La Concerto, a familiar piano piece playing, however it was mixed by calming jazz sounds that you would commonly hear in coffee shops. You ordered your usual cup of hot caramel macchiato and settled in an empty table near the exit. The piano piece was still playing, making you reminisce your young, innocent days where playing piano with your old friend was your comfort.
Your thoughts got interrupted by the young waiter asking if you ordered a grande-sized iced americano. You said no, thinking who would be ordering an iced drink in this kind of weather. A young man sitting by the table next to yours seemed to have heard the conversation and said “I think that’s my coffee.”
Feeling apologetic, the waiter bowed at you and shifted his attention to the man. You tried to inspect who the man was, who seem to have forgotten that it’s raining hard and ordered an iced drink.
But his face... it was so familiar, like you have looked at this face all your life. He looked like your old friend whom you played the piano with. As the waiter left the table, unknowingly, you called out the young man’s name...
“Min Yoon Gi...?”
To your surprise, the man looked at your direction. Looking at you intensely, and slowly showing you the familiar smile that you had never seen in a long time.
“Yoon Jae Si...”
Confirming that it was indeed Yoongi, you returned the smile.
“Ya! It’s been a long time!” He said.
You realized he has not lost his strong satoori accent yet despite leaving Daegu for a few years now. He was hesitant at first, looked around, then decided to move to your table and began talking about your lives here in Seoul.
“Ya! What happened? You know I’ve been trying to contact you! I even asked my mom about you.” He scolded you as if he was scolding a bratty little sister.
“Ya, you were the one who left Daegu without telling all of us where you’ve gone to!” you reciprocated his scolding.
“2 years! You were gone for 2 years! We were worried you know! And I got mad at you! So I never answered your calls, I never looked for you or talked about you because you’re annoying!” you looked away as if you were really pissed.
“Sorry.” you heard his soft voice in response. Then, you saw with your peripheral vision that he seemed to have lowered his head down. You looked at him and noticed a slight bruise on his right wrist. You grabbed his wrist out if impulse and scolded him.
“Ya, Min Yoongi! What the hell is this? What have you been doing with your life huh?! Why do you have bruises? What the hell is going on here in Seoul that we don’t know about? Wha—“you were silenced by his soft response.
“I’ve been dancing...”
“You, what?” you tried to clarify as you failed to hear the boy's response.
“I’ve been dancing.” He repeated, pulling his wrist off your grip and hissing in pain.
“You got that bruise from dancing?” you asked as you have finally calmed yourself. “But... you don’t like that kind of crap right? Wha.. what’s wrong?”
His response was the softest. As if trying to hide his words to the world. Making you unsure if you heard it right or otherwise.
“I’m on training to become an idol...” his soft response made you cover your mouth in shock. Min Yoongi... training to become an idol? WHAT THE HELL?! He looked at you and slightly released a smirk as if he’s mocking your current state of shock.
“You are kidding me, right?” you asked, thinking that he might just be joking around. But to your surprise, his face turned a bit serious this time.
“Ya... spill it.” you said to him.
He was hesitant at first but he told you all about his life as a trainee and his current life here in Seoul. He told you that it hasn't been long since he auditioned and became under training. He’s doing music, rap, and dance and he’s also working multiple jobs to earn a living. He told you not to tell his mom about it because what his family knows is that he is working as a producer and not training as an idol. He stopped going to school as he has been working, training, and making music for the company. He told you more about how hard his life is here in Seoul, living in a small dorm with more or less 10 other trainees, uncertain of the outcome of their lives. You felt ashamed of yourself for still depending on your family for your living and your education here.
Then it hit you. This was it. This was his dream. Your dream. To make music. And yet it was only him who had pursued this dream. To have himself lean on no one but himself just to make his dream turn into reality. You felt proud of him for going through all this for his dream but at the same time worried about him. Being a trainee is never easy. He will have a hard time, you are sure of it. And dancing? Min Yoongi can’t dance! You lowered your head again thinking about how hard his life would be during training and after their debut. That is... if they will debut.
“Jaesi-yah, we will debut, I promise. So stop worrying. I can do this.” He firmly said.
He looked at his phone for the time. “I have to go now. I still have to go and train. But, let’s keep this a secret between us two, okay.” He said.
In all honesty, you think this is a bad idea. You want to tell his family about it. But you know that the hard-headed guy you’ve known all your life would never give up once he started on doing something.
He took his bag from his previous table and salute you in farewell. You grabbed his free hand, not planning on letting go.
“Please take care of yourself, huh? Please...” you pleaded.
“Always am.” He reassured you. And then he left.
He was gone out of sight and as if out of trance, you began to slowly notice the things around you. You noticed that the rain had stopped, you also noticed that your coffee had gone cold so you stood up and started walking out of the shop and back to the bus stop to wait for your ride again.
You arrived home a little late than usual. You felt really tired and flopped yourself into your bed, looking at the wrinkled off-white ceiling, still thinking about Yoongi and your conversation earlier. Memories began to flash back. The moment you played the La Concerto on his piano at home. The moment you both promised that you would be doing music together, he being a composer, and you as a concert pianist. The moment he comforted you when you fought with your mom when she told you to stop fooling around, playing the piano and start doing something useful with your life. The moment you cried hard when your mom ripped the pamphlet you got from a music academy, and on the same day knowing Min Yoongi was not around to comfort you again. You were mad at him. You really are. But those years that you were mad at him was all gone when you heard how hard his life was all this time. While you spent all of it hating him and not taking his calls, he was out there working multiple jobs, dancing, training hard for dear life. You felt really bad about it.
You took a small notebook on your bedside table, scanning through pages, looking for Yoongi’s number that you managed to write down despite deleting it from your phone. Hoping that it was still his number after all these years, you texted him...
“Thank you for keeping the dream for me, Yoongi. I will look forward to your success. Always.”
You went out of your room to take a quick bath. After you finished, you went to the kitchen to make a sandwich before you start studying your lessons for the next day. Your phone vibrated, indicating that someone texted me. You picked it up and to your surprise, you got a reply from Yoongi.
“The piano piece. The thing that played earlier at the coffee shop. You heard it too, right? It was our piano piece.”
You smiled at the thought of him remembering the piece you used to play when you were young. You smiled again as you looked back on the last line of his text message. Yes, you heard it too.

both are childhood best friends. jaesi usually likes playing the piano with yoongi when they were young and because of their mutual interest, they started to share the same dream: to become musicians. unfortunately, only yoongi strived hard and even went to seoul for that dream. jaesi had to stay in daegu to study and to follow her parents’ wishes and not what her heart desires. years later, jaesi had the courage to leave her parents in daegu to go to an all-girls university in seoul. she then met his childhood friend yoongi who she discovered to be a trainee/producer at a small entertainment company.
namjoon x aimee (kang aimee)

both are book lovers. joon and aimee fought over the last piece of book that they both want. since aimee threatened joon to scream “kim namjoon of bts is here!” if she would not give her the book. aimee ended up purchasing the book but sooner, she felt guilty. after reading the book for herself, aimee wanted to give it to namjoon for him to read. but, she didn't know how to. thankfully, her roomate knows a way.
jimin x jiwon (song ji won)
setting: trainee days - present
both are dance majors at the same academy. jimin was top of his class and jiwon was always second. when jimin stopped going to the academy after getting a shot to be an idol, jiwon became the top student. but despite getting jimin’s position as top student, jiwon was always egged by their classmates saying that even though jiwon got jimin’s spot, he is still the best. jiwon worked extra hard, even enrolled in a dance class outside school. little did she know, she would be meeting his rival once again.
jin x eun ji (choi eun ji)

jin seemed to have taken the idea that he is not getting any younger so he decided to ask his brother for help. his brother then suggested eun ji, his girlfriend’s friend, a second year resident doctor in a prestigious hospital in seoul. after setting a meet up, they found out that they aren't a match. but jin's brother was perseverant, he set up for another meet up, but this time, eunji declines. she's bound to go to abroad for hospital duties. jin has somewhat given up and directed his focus on something else. however, fate would bring them back together.

both likes to take photographs. minji is a well known photo blogger under the name “song for you” but no one has ever seen her or known her real name. taehyung happened to see her photos online and began admiring her creative eye and meticulous ways in her photographs. one day, they were shooting their concept photos for the next album. when the photos were presented, taehyung felt that the concept of how the photos were taken was pretty familiar. he then realized that it was similar as to how “song for you” takes her photos. he then began to look for her and decided to know more about her.
