A Doc and a Marty
back to the future 3.jpg
and now i need to base my entire personality around it until i find something else to obsessed with
“Doc’s Expressions During Marty’s Standoff With Mad Dog” (An appreciation post)
LOOK AT HIM. I love how the camera keeps cutting back and he’s just SO confused & horrified for the entire scene. He has no clue what Marty is doing and-Oh, whoops. Marty is dead now. Maybe?? NOPE.
Who even knows what is happening? NOT DOC.
Christopher Lloyd could do an entire movie without a single word of dialogue.
when in doubt, ask yourself: what would marty mcfly do? it won’t help, but it’s nice to know you have the approval of the most iconic fictional character written
Marty and Jennifer headcannons?
- jennifer is the reason marty’s style is what it is. he tried it out one day and she said she liked it (which is the first time she spoke to him), and he just kept that as his go to style
- she goes to every single one of his concerts, whether he’s playing at a bar for three people or he sold out an entire stadium, she’s there
- she loves painting. one day she paints him, and he loved it so much he framed it
- she makes little pocket sized paintings for him. she made one of the two of them linking arms and he keeps it in his wallet
- he taught her how to skateboard, and she turned out to be very nearly better than him (it depends on the day, but they’re both equally good at it)
- anytime he’s getting bullied or shoved around she does not hesitate to deck whoever is doing it. she gets a reputation as one of the scariest people in the school
hope you like these!!
BTTF Challenge- A scene that makes me smile (Part III)
I'm doing a 2nd bttf challenge post today because these are super fun and also...why not?
This shot of Doc just standing there, completely disgruntled, while everyone in the bar stares at him cracks me up. Like, he hasn’t had a single sip of anything all night. He’s just been holding the shot glass for hours, telling people about the future and of his tales of woe. Doc is such a great character.
HONORABLE MENTION: Doc standing frozen with that expression on his face for several seconds after Clara has already left. I’m telling you...Doc shines in Part III.
BTTF Challenge- Fave secondary character
Clara Clayton is such a lovely character. Talking about space one moment, and climbing on a moving train the next, Clara totally holds her own and stands out in the third film. Mary Steenburgen brings her to life in a way that is able to make Clara smart, strong, and gentle all at once. She and Christopher Lloyd have a natural chemistry that I think really adds to the heart of Part III.
