Top 10 Favorite Buffy Scenes (no particular order)
1. S2, E22 Becoming Part 2
“no weapons, no friends, no hope. Take all that away and what’s left?”
“Me.”
This is one of the most iconic scenes in television history in my opinion. This is so empowering and awesome I have no words.
2. S5, E22 Grave
“I love crayon breaky Willow and I love scary veiny Willow”
I love Xander even though he has a lot of flaws. Ordinary, powerless Xander saves the world with his words. This is such an act of love and their little crying hug at the end makes me cry because she finally gets to grieve.
3. S3, E10 Amends
“Strong is fighting.”
This scene reduces me to a puddle of tears. Angel asking if he’s a ritious man worth saving and just all of this. The episode is not my favorite by no means but this scene saves it. This whole scene is so good I can even look past her really bad baby bangs.
4. S7, E22 Chosen
“Are you ready to be strong?”
Really this whole episode is so good and such a strong end to the series. Buffy’s speech about every girl who could be a slayer will be a slayer makes me feel so happy and I have happy tears watching this episode.
5. S1, E12 Prophecy Girl
“Giles I’m sixteen years old, I don’t wanna die.”
Ahhh. This whole scene is so good. Sarah is so good. This is really when we see what being a slayer is and how unfair and wrong it is. We see Buffy as such a strong girl seeing her so scared is so touching. I cry every time she breaks down in this. Prophecy Girl is one of my favorite episodes ever.
6. S5, E16 The Body
“You’re not supposed to move the body!”
Wow this episode is a gut punch. We love Buffy so much and therefore love Joice as well. It’s so hard to watch Buffy in so much pain and she does so well in this scene. The Body makes me cry every single time.
7. S3, E1 Anne
“I’m Buffy the Vampire Slayer and you are?”
This is such a cool moment. It’s a stand up and cheer Buffy moment. It’s the point where the lost and confused Buffy finds herself again and it is awesome.
8. S3, E20 The Prom
“Buffy Summers, class protector”
The scene where she gets the award makes me cry because it’s a touching moment where Buffy is rewarded for the sacrifices she’s made to protect everyone. It’s such a good scene and then Angel comes and makes it much better.
9. S1, E1 Welcome to the Hellmouth
“Life is short. Seize the moment, ‘cos tomorrow you might be dead.”
This is one of my favorite quotes of the series. It is one of the first time Buffy and Willow are bonding and I just love it so much.
10. S2, E17 Passion
“Are you trying to get yourself killed? You can’t leave me. I can’t do this alone.”
There are so many good scenes in this episode but this one really gets me. It’s similar to the hug between willow and Xander in grave. It’s touching and heartbreaking. I love it
