Can’t make this up

So today my colleague got a couple of calls from parents in the evening, and he started asking our club members if there was an Arashi concert on.

I was curious so I wanted to know why he’d ask that. He said because a number of parents were calling to say their kids couldn’t make it to school the next day.

And he said that last year, there was a day when ONE QUARTER of his class took leave. As in their parents called in sick for them or made up an excuse. At first he didn’t know what was going on but in Japan (and especially in a school like ours) it’s pretty rare. So then he found out that an Arashi concert was on and because it happened to be held on a weekday, kids needed some travelling time and opted to skip school.

I CANNOT EVEN.

Guys, I'm super sick. Like, I went to see my GP for a note for work and she sent me to the ER. The ER looked for appendicitis, but that's not what's causing my vomiting and abdominal pain. They sent me home. I need to eat but my sense of smell is super sensitive right now (I can literally smell water, wtf), and everything is super gross. I've been like this since Friday. I just want to feel better, and my boyfriend isn't here for me to whine to, so all y'all get to hear it.
