The Very Bad no Good Excuse

THIS is the very bad no good excuse that had caught many Christians.

"But I'm not Jesus" "I'm not God"

Please, I beg, don't you remember the famous WWJD? What would Jesus do? No? Well the Bible says "You are to be holy because I am holy." [1 Peter 1:15-17] Now listen, that is saying 'you have no excuse to sin', because God became flesh, walked in it and was tempted, but did not sin. He's not expecting you to be perfect always, but he's showing you it is possible.

People say "I ain't Jesus" to excuse their behavior, sometimes. Cussing, for example, even though the Bible says "Cursing and praise come from the same mouth, my brothers and sisters this should not be!" [James 3:10]

Other times, they feel like it's impossible for them to do something. "I'm not God"-'so I can't tell random strangers about my faith and expect to change their lives.' You aren't changing their lives, God is, and you telling them about your Christ gives that person an opportunity. Have you ever met a stranger, and they tell you something and it bounces around your mind every few days? Yeah, you can be that stranger. God has so much faith in your abilities, in fact, that Jesus said "You who believe will do greater things than I," [John 14:12-14]

Fourth and finally, the "I'm not special" group. Don't you ever say that again you are the biblical child of God himself, creator of everything that was ever made! "Oh but there's 7 billion others-" NO! STOP. He chose you out of an infinite number of other people to be right here, right now. You are his special. He could've decided to have Indiana Jones born where you were instead, BUT NO! He chose you over Indiana Jones, or James Bond, or anybody else! Don't you know how cool that is?! And don't forget, "It is the least among you all that is the greatest." [Luke 9:48]

Just washed all the bubble dye off my legs. I think my Toms are partly ruined.

I also have weird tanlines from them on my feet. Humpf, that’s take a while to get rid off. Oh well, Just spent one and a half hours walking three miles with bubble pit stops with up to six feet of bubbles.

So I’m back, yay!
