Graham knew he couldn’t be the only one feeling tense as the first wedding occurred. It was solidifying the truth for all of them, letting them know that this was really happening. It wasn’t a joke played on them by their parents, nobody was going to change their minds and call the whole thing off. They were all going to have their own weddings, with the world watching as they vowed till death do us part. Graham smiled ruefully at the thought, a bitter sort of humor pointing out that it wasn’t much of a promise for him or Eleanor.
With a heavy sigh, Graham stifled yet another familiar urge to run away and picked a second glass of champagne instead. He realized too late that he was being watched, someone witness to anything less than polite and refined as he had momentarily let his guard down. Again, the welcoming smile returned to his face. “It was a beautiful ceremony, wasn’t it?”
