“I don’t think I want to give you another excuse to throw things at me,” Vin commented. He took another drink from the bottle of water before he finally replaced the lid and set it on the table beside him. “I’ll let you know as soon as this headache goes away,” Admittedly, he was feeling a little better, but still wasn’t back to his old self. “I’ve heard that too. But I don’t even want to think about drinking more alcohol right now.”

Piper grinned at the other. “You’re such a party pooper.” she chuckled softly as she shook her head at him. “It’s all about trying out new things right?” she tilted her head to the side as she glanced at the male. “Live a little Vin.”

“I’ll have you know that I have very good reflexes. Normally,” He mumbled, Still, he took the bottle that Piper had thrown him and took a long gulp, draining practically half of it. His mouth still felt like sandpaper, and his brain still pounded against his skull, but it had felt refreshing. “Don’t call me sunshine. But still…thanks.”

Piper shook her head as she glanced at the other. “Maybe we can test them out at a later date when you look less green.” she teased as she watched him down the water a small smile appearing on her lips. “You feeling any better?” she tilted her head to the side as she tried to recall her last wild night. “You know some people say drinking more alcohol makes you feel better the next day.”

               ‘       ha ,      maybe ?         we could get some sheep ,      a little farm and become sheep herders .            yodel away .      ‘                      it was an impossibility ,      but at least piper wasn’t crying .      

Piper smiled at the other for a moment as she intertwined her fingers with the others. “Sheep sound nice, a nice normal life for my children.” she buried her head in the others neck. “Can we leave straight away? It sounds like a dream.”

                 piper’s words       - and tears -       weren’t something callista was expecting in the least .               her face changed from the cheerful expression to that of concern ,      quickly moving to wrap her arms around her best friend ,       pressing her temple to the other’s .                        ‘       we could elope ,     run away in the dead of night and get married so they wouldn’t be able to marry us off ,      and go live in a cabin in the mountains or somethin’ .       ‘

“Don’t tempt me.” she smiled at her friend before taking her hand in hers. “I’d run anywhere with you if only you’d ask sooner.” a small laugh escaped her lips as she leant her head on the others shoulder. “Do you think the mountain people would be kind to us?”

Piper shook her head before letting out a small sigh. “I don’t want to get married.” the words left her lips quicker than she could stop herself. “Can you take me away and hide me in greece?” her eyes almost begged Callista. “I can’t do this.” she shook her head before whipping the tears away from the corners of her eyes.

       bursting into the other’s room ,       arms full of chips and a pizza box ,      callista grinned over the shimmering bags .                        ‘      i feel like i haven’t seen you in ages ,         so we’re having a girl’s night .       ‘                       the greek declared before walking in and pushing the door shut with her foot ,        walking further in and leaving everything on the nightstand before throwing herself onto her best friend ,      hugging her tightly .                      she was hardly a person big on affection ,      let alone physical one …         but there were certain people ,        there was     her .

“I’ve been hiding.” she admitted as she glanced at her best friend. “What does this so called girls night include?” she raised an eyebrow at the other before returning the hug. Her hands wrapping around the other girls waist as she just held her there for a moment. “I hope movies and a lot of cuddling under the sheets?” she grinned at callista before nodding her head. “Maybe we should order some room service also?”

“Unfortunately, staying hydrated wasn’t something I’d thought about last night, apparently,” He sighed. And normally, Vin did make sure to stay hydrated when he had a few drinks. “Ouch! Did you have to throw it at me?”

Piper grinned at the other before shrugging her shoulders. “It’s not my fault your reflexes suck.” she bit down on her bottom lip before taking a seat across from him. “Drink up sunshine, you need to regain your energy.”

“Meri Tabiyut kharaab hai,” Vinay groaned as he rubbed his face. He was laid down on a long couch on one of the drawing rooms, surprised that he’d even managed to get out of bed that morning. “I’m never drinking again. There should have been some kind of limit or…something,” He rubbed his face. “If you’re not going to keep it down, you could at least be helpful and offer some hangover cures.”

Piper chuckled softly as she glanced over at the other. “Alcohol isn’t too much of a threat as long as you remember to stay hydrated.” she added before shrugging her shoulders. “Have some water.” she pouted before throwing a bottle at him. “Other than that you’re mostly on your own mate.”

Max liked balls just because they were a good way to measure people, create allies, see who could be used.. see them get drunk and maybe have something on them, the possibilities were many. There had been a long time since he had just enjoyed a formal ball just because they were fun, really he doubted he ever thought they were much fun really. He grabbed a glass of champagne and looked around. “So far is pretty nice huh.”

“England out did themselves.” she agreed with the other before reaching for her own glass. “I’m surprised a wedding hasn’t been held though.” she shrugged her shoulders as her eyes trailed the room. She paused before turning to face the male. “How are you?”

“95%? more like a 150. c’mon, i basically raised you. who used to help you out with homework, who used to sneak you out of the white house?” she rhetorically asked. Ang knew that there were many things, many relations she had failed at. but thankfully being an elder sister did not end up becoming one of them. “well, dad’s forcing me to go on a date with my fiance tonight, so if you want to save him, might want to get to it fast.” she smirked. “but don’t worry, i won’ kill him. can’t….well, not yet.”

Piper laughed before glancing at her sister. “Who didn’t teach me about safe sex.” she mumbled before elbowing the other. “Not that i regret it, i wouldn’t take them back.” she let out a small sigh as she laughed at the past and the antics the girls got up too. “You’re so dramatic Ang..” she rolled her eyes as she raised an eyebrow at the other. “At least give him a chance i guess, maybe you’ll like him.”

Vin thought about all the things he should probably be doing, but currently wasn’t, either because of distance, the time difference in India, or just because he currently wasn’t in the mood. Eventually, he shrugged. “No, not right now. So I think I have time for a walk,” He agreed. “Do you know your way around here very well? Because there’s a slight chance that I will get lost.”

Piper nodded her head as she tilted it slightly to the side. “Luckily enough i do, though i may get lost on purpose so you’re forced to spend more time with me.” she teased as she shrugged her shoulders. “Just joking, i don’t know it like the back of my hand just yet but i think getting lost would be half the adventure.”

“The truth. that we hate it here and would rather be back at home. and that about 90% of the royals in this place are so dumb, they have zero clues about their country’s policies.” but even if she had found something useful, Ang wouldn’t have handed any information that might help her over to the king. “and if you can’t talk them into it, then maybe my gun collection can.”

Piper snuffled a laugh that was forming in the back of her throat. “Savage as always.” she grinned at her older sister as she moved to hug the other. “I might not have a very present father but at least you handle 95% of his responsibilities.” she grinned at the other before pulling away. “So whats new darling sister? Do i need to blackmail anyone yet? Maybe save them from your fierce nature.”

“I mean, I agree, rain’s important for a lot of reasons,” He said, thinking more of the literal rays that rain was important to the earth rather than the metaphorical ones. “Rain definitely made me miss seeing sunny days like this for certain.”

Piper nodded her head as she glanced at the other. “Enough depressing chats.” she decided before glancing at the other. “Are you busy right now?” she quirked an eyebrow at the other before shrugging her shoulders gently. “Lets go for a walk, wouldn’t want to miss an opportunity to absorb these rays of light now would we.”

“It is a rather nice day,” Vin agreed. It was perhaps the first nice day that London had since he’d arrived. “I’m definitely not missing those rainy days right now. I still don’t think I can understand how people here can stand being stuck in the rain all the time, though I’m sure it makes sunny days like this a lot more important.”

“I think the rains important, it reminds people to see the beauty in everyday life.” she shrugged her shoulders. “I guess we shouldn’t be taking things for granted in a sense.”she smiled at the other. “Light in the darkness and all the crap.”

“dad called.” Ang announced as she entered her sister’s room. “wanted to know how the summit was going, if we were adjusting to London well. like he actually cares about us ‘adjusting’. it was all bullshit, just wanted to know if i gathered any politically useful intel and that you were all set to be pawned off for an alliance. “ she bluntly stated. “y’know my offer to have your fiance murdered still stands. i would much rather my niece and nephew grow up in front my eyes instead of miles away.”

Piper turned to look at her sisters as she nodded her head. “What did you tell him?” she asked as she let out a small sigh, her hands wrapping around her own waist. “Let’s just see how bad they are before we offer their execution.” she offered the other a small smile before frowning at the mention of her children. “We might get lucky and I might marry a no body royal, no crown and i could talk them into living in America.”
