Like I have stated in the previous posts, I don’t usually make New Years Resolutions, but I guess there is a time and place for everything right? So here are some goals that I hope to achieve by the end of 2016 - sorta like a bucket-list:
(1) Just exercise and move around. There are a lot of factors that play into my motivation to exercise, but my main reasons are: my cousin, Haikyuu, and tennis. I’ve been exercising recently, because I told my cousin (Natalie) I would, and although I personally still can’t stand exercising, I like the state that it places me in afterwards. And after playing some tennis and watching a sports anime, it makes me pumped up to move my body. Plus, it wouldn’t be too bad if I can lose some weight in the making; I can’t exactly quantify how much I want to lose, but just enough to make me satisfied.
(2) Learn something techie. Anyone who knows me personally will know that I’m not the brightest when dealing with technology, but I’ve always respected those who do understand it. So in 2016, I want to learn how to handle something related to technology, whether it’s something dealing with programming or photography or photoshop or cinematography (blogging will not count!). After all, what kind of youngster nowadays doesn’t know how to deal with technology.
(3) Send a freakin’ postcard to someone. This has been my goal ever since 2015 and has been left unattended because I simply don’t know who I would give it to. I would send it to some high school friends, but I don’t know what they would do with it. Besides, I hardly believe that they would find value in it anyways. I’ll probably end up sending some to my family - those kiddos would probably love something like a postcard. I know they’d keep it.
(4) Get a work-study or part-time job or internship. Seeing William and a couple of others work, make me want to work too. I want to at least earn a bit of my living. I’m not a big fan of mooching off my parents. Plus, I think it would be a good life lesson for me anyways. Not that I’d personally grow as a person from it though. I also am looking forward to doing something with my life; it’d be a good way to kill some time, whatever time I have left anyways.
(5) Be able to cook some of my favorite home dishes for my family. I’ve baked before, but I never really cooked. It’d be nice if I transition into my sophomore year with some culinary abilities. And what better place to learn how to cook than in my own home! Hopefully, my mom or grandma can teach me the ways and allow me to cook for them.
(6) Start a collection. I’ve always wanted a collection - they look pretty darn cool after all. I mean they are compliations of people’s passions. I would like to own one. I just always had problems on deciding what to base my collection on. Hopefully, I can figure out a concentration this year.
I’ll keep y’all updated on whether or not I completed these items throughout the year! The ones that I don’t complete will just be rolled-over to next year’s list. I feel that when I make big claims publicly, I usually follow through and hold myself accountable for my words. Let’s see how well I do within the next few months.
