Y/n had been an LAFD firefighter for almost 5 years now. She transferred from Austin, Texas after her father passed away when she was just 21 years old. Y/n became a firefighter for Station 126 when she was 18. She had been struggling with the grief for awhile and decided she needed to get out of Texas, and Captain Owen Strand had suggested she transfer to LAFD. So, she did. Owen Strand, her former captain, had known Bobby Nash for quiet awhile and got together with him over the phone to discuss Y/n transferring to his station. To which Bobby agreed.
Fast forward to the Present,
"Hey, Y/n, you coming to Buck's surprise party next week?" Eddie asked, as he was finishing up the lunch dishes.
"Yeah, I'll be there." Y/n said, her voice cracked a little. She wasn't her usually happy self as of lately and the crew could tell by her actions.
Eddie stopped what he was doing to look at Y/n. "Hey, are you okay? You seem a little down."
"Yeah, yeah I'm great. Fine, actually." She replied. She had just changed into her uniform from her turn out gear.
As she was making her way downstairs, she saw her boyfriend chatting with Bobby. She perked up a bit.
"Hey, Jace." She smiled, greeting her boyfriend.
He didn't seem happy to see her though. "We need to talk." He said, watching as Bobby walked off. He then, roughly grabbed her arm, pulling her outside. "Ow. What is wrong with you? You were fine this morning." Y/n huffed a little.
"I'm breaking up with you." The words escaped his mouth.
Her face fell. "Wh-what?" She felt her world shatter and her heart broke into millions of tiny, little pieces. She was head over heels crazy in love with Jace. Why was he doing this to her? Did she do something wrong?
"I found someone else to be with. And I've been seeing her behind your back. She told me I needed to end it with you if I wanted to be with her, which I do. So, I packed my stuff. Also, here's the spare key." He handed it to her before he turned and walked off.
Y/n was heartbroken, crushed. Tears streamed her cheeks, as she watched him walk away. She grabbed the door, holding on tightly. She began crying her heart out.
Buck, who was nearby, heard Y/n crying. He quickly stopped what he was doing to check on her, followed by Eddie, Bobby, Chim, and Hen.
"Hey, hey, hey! What happened?" Eddie helped her to stand, holding her upright.
Through muffled sobs, she managed to get out, "Cheated. Left me for another." Before she dropped to her knees crying.
Bobby also noticed the small bruise forming on her arm from where her now ex, had grabbed her roughly.
"Did he hurt you?" Bobby asked.
"He-he grabbed my arm really hard." Y/n muttered. As she wiped her eyes, the alarm went off. She was stopped by Bobby. "Hey, are you sure you want to come? You're can stay here if you need."
She nodded. "Yeah, I think I'll do that."
With that, she headed for the locker room as the other 118 members pulled out of the station.
As she sat in the locker room, she pulled out a bottle of liquor. She opened it, and chugged it down. Y/n then proceeded to chug a second one down, then a third, and a fourth. By the fifth drink, she was already drunk.
She sobbed as she stumbled up the stairs, towards the kitchen.
An hour later,
The 118 returned. Eddie heard crashing and banging noises, as did the others. They raced upstairs to find a drunk, heartbroken Y/n stumbling around, cussing, and her words were slurred.
Eddie caught her before she fell. "Hey, Y/n, Buck and I are taking you home."
She tried to fight him but found it was pointless. Bobby, Chim, and Hen could see what the breakup was doing to her. And they knew she was drinking again just by the smell of her breath, her stumbling into things, and her slurred speech.
Eddie decided to bring her to his place since the three had two days off. Eddie carried her inside, gently placing her on his bed, as Buck grabbed water and aspirin for her for when she woke up.
Eddie pulled his blankets over her. And kept his door open.
"That son of a bitch." Buck swore. "How could he fucking do that to her?! Just break her heart like she was nothing?! Did he even fucking love her?!" He paced Eddie's kitchen.
Eddie ran his fingers through his hair. "I dunno. But, her drinking like this, it's eating her alive. And the fact that he just straight out told her he was cheating on her, pisses me the fuck off." Eddie growled. "I mean, she is the kindest, sweetest person I've met. How could any fucking scumbag do this?"
Later that night,
Y/n opened her eyes, she found Eddie and Buck on either side of her. "Buck? Eddie?" She whispered.
Buck's eyes flew open. As did Eddie's. "Y/n, how are you feeling?" Eddie asked, pushing hair from her wet cheeks.
"Like shit." She muttered. "How long- did everyone see me-" she couldn't even get the words out of her mouth.
"It's okay, Bobby called earlier to see how you were doing. You were asleep then. Athena also called to check in, so did Hen and Chim." Eddie said softly.
"Yeah, Maddie called to check on you too." Buck added.
"I'm sorry for making a mess at the station." Y/n said quietly.
"Hey, none of us were mad. We're worried about you." Eddie kissed the top of her head, followed by Buck kissing her cheek.
She smiled softly. "You both have been here the whole time?" Y/n asked.
"Yeah, we have. We haven't left." Buck chuckled.
"Chris- where is he?"
"Carla came and picked him up. He is spending the night at his friend's house." Eddie said, gently stroking the side of her face. She smiled, yawning a little, before laying her head back down, only to fall asleep again.
The next morning,
Y/n was asleep with her head nestled against Eddie with her legs intertwined with Buck's legs. Buck had his head against her back with his hands on her hips. Eddie had his arms draped over her and his head pressed against hers.
Y/n opened her eyes. She smiled at the sight. She was cuddled against Buck and Eddie. The fact that she knew just how much they cared for her, made her want to go to AA meetings for her drinking problem. Because she couldn't hurt the people she cared for and loved. She saw Eddie wake up. His smile was just beautiful. She then heard Buck behind her.
"Good morning." Buck spoke, his voice deep as he stretched.
"Morning." She smiled, her voice raspy.
"Morning to you too." Eddie replied.
Buck and Eddie smiled at Y/n. "You two want some breakfast?" Eddie asked. "Yeah, I'm hungry." She sat up, stretching.
"Same here. I'm starving." Buck laughed a little.
