I guess a part of me really just wants them to be canon and is holding out hope but I also know that even if they aren’t, fanon is a wonderful place. I think I’m also gonna take your advice and curare my experience. I think I’m just gonna avoid tags and maybe stick to following blogs I like. It’s what I did when I was in another fandom and things got wild lol. Sometimes you’re in your tag and someone has tagged a mean post that just doesn’t belong there and it gets tiring.

Also thank you for the recap!! I’m also a long story girly - literally fills me with joy the longer they are lol.

I'm a very obsessive fandom girly - once I identify with a couple I just jump into reading fic and basically never stop until I either start writing fic myself (I still read fic, just less of it) or I move onto another obsession.

I've never been too bothered by my ships going canon (some of them have, some of them haven't) or by fandom drama, and looking back on it now, after years in fandom, I think part of that is because I read so much fanfic where my favourite ship is getting their happily ever after time after time and I can focus on that.

Well, Eddie also said the reason he wouldn't have done it was bc Buck was on blood thinners at the time...

It was added as an afterthought and said in humor.

I find it hard to believe that he would have hit him if he wasn't on blood thinners. When one is blinded by rage, one very rarely thinks about the small stuff, they'd just take a swing and be apologetic about it later.

Thinking back to S1 of H50 Danny took a swing at Steve on the very first episode, Eddie could have done the same thing when they first met, but he didn't.

You can read it however you want, obviously it's all in the eyes of the beholder.

In my opinion Eddie's love for Buck, be it romantic or otherwise, is different than the love Hen and Chimney have for Buck and it's expressed differently.

Girl it's their fault for allowing those intentional choices. And they are still on denial.. hell even Ryan and Oliver know that and they are making sure that there's little bit of romantic nuances

So yeah.. it's just the bro... nup, romance thing

It is most definitely the writers and showrunners' fault, those are exact intentional choices.

And it is, in fact, portrayed by Ryan and Oliver that way. It's what they understand from the text and how, I'm sure, they're directed.

And it pisses me off that 6x18 was the culmination of all of this build up of the last 6 seasons, especially since they thought this could be the final season. (Even though low-key I bet you anything, that they knew way before that and kept this little tidbit of information till the very last moment, just like any other major storyline no one told the actors about - see 4x13, where Ryan didn't know until he got the script and asked if he's killed off lol).

I find those last few episodes choices terrible, unimaginative and frankly an insult to good TV everywhere.
