I noticed you have bucktommy in your bio and I'm new here so idk if you've already been asked this before but what is it that you like about them? If you don't mind me asking ofc and if you like them do you dislike buddie or just prefer bucktommy?

No worries!! I looooove talking about Bucktommy. Man, I wanna go back to that ship, Tim Drake has been occupying too much of my mind lately.

At first, I loved Bucktommy because Tommy seemed like such a breath of fresh air in terms of Buck's love interests. He is soft spoken, patient, handsome, and not only that, but he is a great character all around. I love his dry humor, his selflessness, his loyalty, and his desperate desire for family and belonging.

This is the same guy that always shows up when former coworkers call him with favors that are frankly illegal. He is the guy who will go to his date's sister's wedding a week after knowing him, after a disastrous date might I add. He is the guy that will come to said wedding covered in grime and soot, straight out of his shift, simply because he promised. He is the one who listens to his boyfriend's ramblings about Billy Boils and sleeps on the couch to be there if he needs anything and dresses up to attend a funeral for a centuries old corpse just because his boyfriend wants to.

And he's the guy who had such a painful time coming to terms with his sexuality in a world where he clearly lacked support and connection, that when the love of his life asks him to move in, old wounds and fears take hold, Tommy walked away.

Also, Tommy called him Evan. He called him Evan, and suddenly the name sounded full of warmth and affection and love. It changed me.

Fun fact, I used to be a huge Buddie shipper. Like, I'd try to get all my friends into this show by reeling them in with the Buddie dynamic, and I truly believed they could go canon. When Tommy kissed Buck, I was thrilled, because I thought that was gonna be a stepping stone towards Buddie.

But watching Tommy being so sweet to Buck, and frankly the incredibly horrible way Buddies have been reacting and talking about Tommy, have absolutely put me off the ship for good.

really wish there was a tweet like “just want to see buck and eddie aggressively make out against a wall” in the thirst tweets video just because i wanted to see how they both would have reacted and i know for a fact there would be a lot of “I” and “you” pronoun going around instead of the names buck and eddie because the lines are so blurred 😭

I LOVE that they use "Me" and "I" and "You" that is so funny to me. Like what the hell are those showrunners thinking, we ain't blind and Ryan and Oliver aren't exactly subtle lol

There is an interview of Oliver out there where he refers to them as "Eddie and me?" I was like DUDE!!

I think you don't like to comment much on the discourse circulating in the fandom, but I wanted to ask you if you think Tommy could still become Buck's love interest again? It seems that after TM's last interviews, many of us have resigned ourselves to the idea of ​​him only remaining in our fandom now.

i don’t have hope for it right now, and i’ve accepted the fact that bucktommy might not happen again. but i still do think it’s possible. if both buck and tommy are still alive and the show is still going, it could happen.

do i think tim minear has enough courage to do it? no. he loves buddie too much and he seems to be content with baiting its fans.

no one that I know of, it's just a theory about why so many buddie anons have shifted from "buddie canon" to "Tommy is coming back but not to be with Buck".

What’s going on with the Times Square billboard and what does it have to do with Bobby Nash?

From what I've seen (I don't follow that many 911 blogs still, but I did do some snooping around after hearing about the billboard), some very misguided fans pooled money for a billboard ABOUT Bobby Nash in NYC. Apparently there are some people who think this billboard will get people to boycott the show if 911 doesn't bring Bobby back. These people may or may not also be involved in an online petition to bring Bobby back. (The petition exists, I'm just not sure if it's the same people, but there's likely overlap. Very much feels like another heller situation, but I digress.)

Here is the first post I saw about it. It has this picture:

If you can't see in the lower left of the image, it says

This is how you can tell it's about Bobby Nash/Peter Krause.

But...for random people in NYC that don't know this is for a freaking tv show, at first glance this looks an awful lot like an IRL 9/11 attack memorial--with the ash on the helmet and the 118 and the name "Bobby." 🙃🙃 And the (AI generated??) "los angeles" maybe too blurry to read. I'm looking at it right now and still can't be sure it's even spelled correctly.

Now, should EVERYONE be rightfully expected to know/remember the names and stations of everyone who died that day? No. But should someone putting up a billboard of an ASH COVERED HELMET in NYC be expected to stop and think, "Wait, this imagery is a lot like 9/11 memorial imagery. Maybe I should do some due diligence before I put this up JUST STREETS AWAY FROM THE IRL TRAGEDY."??? 1000% yes. If you're old enough to have billboard money, you're old enough to realize how in poor taste this is before doing it.

This is honestly unhinged behavior and so embarrassing.

awwwwww 😭 maybe he really did write one and sent it to her address, so she can find it and read it when she comes back? I would have loved for Maddie to send one to Buck, to make him smile. I hope she at least messaged or phoned him. Buck really misses her :(
